The Peacock Feathers Shawl is a stylized version of a peacock's tail in full display, from the small feathers at the top of the shawl, down to the dramatic sweep of the tail. You will truly be able to "strut your stuff" when you wear this shawl! The shawl is worked by casting on 3 stitches, then increasing to create a triangular shape. After finishing the edging charts, a crochet cast off is worked to create a delicate, lacy finish. The pattern features instructions with large, easy-to-use charts. Recommended for advanced intermediate knitters (finished size 88" along the top x 43" from middle of top to lower point), and uses 3 balls of Fiddlesticks Knitting Exquisite (50% mulberry silk/ 50% merino wool - lace weight - 545 yards per 50g ball).
Our Baby Silk Version was knit by Flora Yang using 12 balls of elann.com Peruvian Baby Silk.
