The Amaryllis, one of the most beautiful members of the lily family, shows its colors in this beautiful baby blanket. Knit in narrow columns and joined as each is knit, it is finished in the round with no seams to sew up when you are done. With a finished size of approximately 35 x 31.5" after washing, it uses 5 colors of elann.com Sonata or Sonata Soft as follows: 8 balls of Color A (white), 3 balls each of colors B (dark green), C (dark pink), and E (light green) and 2 balls of Color D (light pink), or 920 yards of Color A, 345 yards each of colors B, C, and E and 230 yards of color D of a DK weight yarn (21-23 st/4"). The yarn is held double throughout the pattern so you may also substitute a yarn which knits to 14 st/4" - being careful to purchase just half of the recommended yardage for each color!
