The inspired and textural Clasica Coat, designed by Deborah Newton, features a deep hood, as well as a crinkly textural stitch on the hood, fronts, and sleeves. This coat is worked with flattering and bulk-minimizing raglan shaping. In finished bust sizes 38, 42, 46, 50, 54" (finished length at center back 27.75, 29.25, 30.75, 32, 33.5"), it uses 12, 14, 15, 16, 18 skeins of Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica (100% handcrafted kettle dyed pure wool - chunky weight - 14-18 st/4" - 138 yards per 100g skein), or use 1656, 1932, 2070, 2208, 2484 yards of substitute yarn of similar gauge and weight.

Glorious chunky weight Clasica is hand dyed in stainless steel kettles with steam heat to create a marbleized, striated effect. Its charm is that no two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. Manos recommends alternating knitting two rows from one skein with two rows from another for an overall blended effect.
