The stole is rectangular shaped, using a scalloped motif for edging and a flower (ox-eye daisy) motif for the body. It is knit in two pieces and grafted together at the center using Kitchener stitch. It is worked using three delicate lace patterns and is suitable for the intermediate knitter with some experience in lace knitting. Its finished measurements are approximately 15" wide by 90" long, after blocking, and it uses approximately 1100 m (1200 yd) of lace weight yarn which yields approximately 400-550m (436-600 yd) per 50g (1.75 oz) ball.
