Featured Design: Brickless Shawl, designed by Martina Behm, is available for purchase as a .pdf download via Ravelry. It is an asymmetrical shawlette, a long triangle, formed by increasingly longer rows. They are worked in a variety of simple, yet effective patterns that give the appearance of a skyline of (brickless) concrete and steel skyscrapers. Martina's version used 540 - 560 yards of worsted weight (19-20 st/4") yarn. Our version pictured was knit by Lynn Graham on 5mm (US 8) needles, using just 6 balls of elann.com W01 in colorway 10-Steady Embers, and measures a generous 100" x 22" - make it for a mill direct yarn cost of just US$19.50 for the project!
