Hello,
I have just started knitting the Marilyn top and I have a big problem with Panel A (Neckband / Right front bodice) Rows 3 - 28.
"Work to 3 sts before wrapped st from last short row, W&T, work to end. " I can't do this for 28 rows. After 18 rows I'm at the end of the needle. Am I thinking wrong or is there a mistake in the number of rows?
Here is the patternlink https://www.elann.com/Commerce.Web/Product_freePatternsDetail.aspx?id=126593
I would be happy if anyone could help me

Hello Doris,
We have had a few questions about this part of the Marilyn pattern recently. Petra and I charted it out and believe it may work if you try following below:
Follow pattern for first 2 rows Row 3: work 30st, W&T on 31st st. Row 4: work to end Row 5: work to 28st st, W&T on 29th st. Row 6 Rep row 2 Row 7: work to 26th st, W&T on 27th st Row 8: Rep row 2 Row 9: work to 23rd st, W&T on 24th st
Continue on the odd numbered rows following the set pattern.
Please let me know if this works for you.
All the best, Maggie edited by maggie-861029 on 4/15/2011 edited by maggie-861029 on 4/15/2011

Hello Maggie,
thank you for your answer!
I tried it out but it doesn't work either... I knitted rows 3 - 9 as you told me and then W+T on 21, 18,15,12,9,6 and 3rd stitch. This is done after 24 rows (last even row incl.)
I don't understand your 3rd row (work 30 st, W+T on 31st stitch), because in the first row I have to W+T on 30th stitch.
Greetings Doris

Hi Doris,
"I don't understand your 3rd row (work 30 st, W+T on 31st stitch), because in the first row I have to W+T on 30th stitch."
You will knit to the 30th stitch and take the next "live" stitch from your left hand needle to wrap and turn. After completing the 28 rows you should end up with 4 stitches left on your needle.
Please let me know if this works for you.
All the best, Maggie

Hi Maggie,
I did it this way and it worked:
first W+T on 31st st, second on 29th st, third on 27th st and so on. At least i had 4 st left on needle after 28 rows.
Greetings Doris
