Special Technique 3-Needle Bind Off: Place sts from each shoulder holder onto separate ndls, points parallel and facing the same direction. Holding these with RS tog, and with a 3rd ndl same size as used in main section of garment, (insert ndl in first st from front ndl and first st from back ndl, and k2 tog) twice, * pass first st from RH ndl over 2nd to BO, k next 2 sts from LH ndls tog as before; rep from * until 1 st rem. Rep last 2 rows 8, 10, 13, 15, 18 times more - 67, 72, 75, 80, 83 sts rem. Work even until armhole measures 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8” ending with a WS row. Shape Neck (RS): K 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 sts, turn leaving rem sts unworked. Dec Row (RS): Knit across to last 4 sts, ssk, k2. Purl back. Rep last 2 rows 2 more times - 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 sts rem. Work even until armhole measures 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9” from beg. Place sts on holder. To complete other side, place center 25, 28, 29, 32, 33 sts on holder for Back of neck, knit to end of row. Purl back. Dec Row (RS): K2, k2 tog, knit across. Complete to match first side. FRONT: Work as for Back until armhole measures 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5” from beg, ending with a WS row. Shape Neck (RS): K 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 sts, turn leaving rem sts unworked. Dec Row (RS): Knit across to last 4 sts, ssk, k2. Purl back. Rep last 2 rows 5 more times - 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 sts rem. Work even until armhole measures same length as Back to shoulder. Place sts on holder. To complete other side, place center 19, 22, 23, 26, 27 sts on holder for Front of neck, knit to end of row. Purl back. Dec Row (RS): K2, k2 tog, knit across. Complete to match first side. FINISHING: Join right shoulder seam using 3-Needle Bind Off method. Neckband: RS facing, pick up and knit 18 sts on left Front side of neck, knit across 19, 22, 23, 26, 27 sts from Front neck holder, pick up and knit 26 sts on right Front and Back side of neck, knit across 25, 28, 29, 32, 33 sts from Back neck holder, pick up and knit 9 sts on left Back side of neck - 97, 103, 105, 111, 113 sts. Work in k1, p1 rib as for lower Back for 3 rows. BO all sts knitwise. Join left shoulder seam. Armhole Bands: RS facing, beg at underarm, evenly pick up and knit 99, 105, 111, 117, 123 sts. Complete as for Neckband. Sew side seams.
