Place markers for 4 buttons evenly spaced along front edge with first button just above ribbing and last button 1/2” from beginning of neck shaping. RIGHT FRONT Cast on 41 (45, 49, 53) sts. Row 1: (RS) *K2, *p2; repeat from * to last st, k1. Continue to work in k2, p2 rib as established. Work until piece measures 3" from beginning, ending with a WS row. Begin Pattern Row 1: (RS) K2, p2, k2 for k2, p2 rib placket, (p2, yo, ssk) 4 (4, 5, 5) times for Lace Pattern st, p1, k8 for Right Cable panel, p1, (yo, ssk, p2) 2 (3, 3, 4) times for Lace Pattern st, k1. Work as for Left Front, reversing shaping and pattern placements and working buttonholes opposite markers as follows: K2, p2tog, yo, k2, work in patterns to end of row. FINISHING Block pieces to measurements. Sew shoulder and side seams. Sew buttons opposite button holes. Neck Edging With RS facing, join yarn at neck edge after bound-off placket stitches on Right Front, pick up and knit 110 (118, 126, 134) sts around neck to placket stitches on Left Front. Work in k2, p2 rib for 5 rows. Bind off. Sew edges of Neck edging to bound-off stitches of Front neck placket. Weave in ends.
