COIN LACE AND CABLE WRAPby Shui Kuen Kozinski

The Coin lace and Cable is my mother's favorite pattern, and I would like to give special thanks to Benne Ferrell for test knitting and charting it with me. The cable is a 6 stitch cable, crossed every 8th row. The coin lace, twisted every 4th row, has a cable effect without actual cabling; each twist has an eyelet at the center. The coin lace looks like an old Chinese coin, which is how it gets its name. A garter stitch border of 4 stitches edges the wrap.
The wrap is a very quick knit, using double strands of Peruvian Pure Alpaca Fina, and is available to knit in two sizes. It is pictured above in the smaller size, worn draped around the shoulders and belted at the waist.
