Our spirited cotton yarn with a hug that will not quit!
Featured Design: This kimono-style jacket, designed by Jeannie Chin and knit in elann.com Esprit by Elaine Weyuker, is from Vogue Knitting Magazine Spring/Summer 2007, and features a simple yet elegant all over slip stitch pattern. The low V neck, three quarter length sleeves, and patch pockets work together with alternating reverse crochet strips on the borders to create an elegant cardigan that is suitable for the workplace or for an evening out. In sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL (finished bust 37, 40, 44.5, 47.5, 52.5"; finished length 28, 28.5, 29, 29.5, 30"), it uses 1760 yards of the main color and 352 yards each of two contrasting colors of sport weight yarn (24 st) - works out to 18 balls of the main color and 4 balls each of two contrasting colors of elann.com Esprit.
Esprit stretches its length as you knit with it, so use the average between its stretched and unstretched length (about 143 yards/50g) when substituting it in sport weight patterns not written specifically for Esprit. Browse our thumbnail links to shade cards and many more designs!
