Designed by Deborah Newton and knit in elann.com Peruvian Highland Bulky by Bri Stanback, the Windowpane Coat uses simple knit and purl stitches to create a textured surface. Flattering long lines with broken rib edgings complement a subtle allover pattern, which is equally at home over a dress or with casual jeans. In finished bust sizes 35.75, 39.5, 42.75, 46, 49.75" (finished length 28.5, 29, 29.5, 30, 30.5"), it uses 1133, 1236, 1339, 1442, 1545 yards of bulky weight (12-14 st/4") yarn - works out to 21, 23, 25, 27, 29 balls of elann.com Peruvian Highland Bulky. Bri knit the sample in a 39.5" finished bust size (shown above) and found that she had very little yarn left over and she recommends purchasing an extra ball of yarn to ensure sufficient yarn is available to complete the garment.
