Numbers tacked on to new user ids I believe that the numbers assigned by a function of the new chat forum software when a new user posts. If you have posted on the previous Chat Center, you already have this information in your profile, so no number is assigned. For new posters, you can remove the number (and personalize your profile) by clicking on "My Profile" in the center of the dark brown menu bar above, editing your profile information, and then clicking to save the changes.

Highland Wool Contest ends soon! Sandra D wrote:
I think you have to go in and edit the project and make sure you click on the box that says you want it entered in the contest. I hope you do that, since I want to vote for it!

Hi Bri,

Sandra is correct, you can now go into your project (and all the projects you've submitted to our gallery in the past), and edit the details. If the project is using our Highland Wool, you can enter it into the contest. This time, though, I've edited the project so it's in the contest so that I could also merge the close-up of the collar and the full picture with details into one project listing. The link has been added to the list above.

Elann yarn contests Hi Phyllis,

We don't have a list of upcoming contests, although there are definitely plans for more. If you'd like to plan some projects that might be part of a contest in the future, the best thing to do is begin working with elann.com brand yarns. To see potential options, hover your mouse over "Products" above, and select "yarns" from the menu that drops down. On the next page, select "Elann Collection" from the company box of the search criteria, and click on "Search Now" to see all of our current offerings.

Is there any way to expand all of my old order history so I can search for a particular yarn purchase? I want to verify the lot number and don't have any memory of the date when I ordered the yarn.

Although it's not a current feature, I'm happy to report that a request to have a more accessible way to review your order history with elann.com has been noted. Unfortunately, I'm not certain about what may be involved in adding this to our site, or what the timeline might be. In the meantime, if you send your request to customerservice@elann.com, we're happy to help find what you're looking for.

I emailed this very question to Elann several months ago but have not yet received a reply. I used to refer often to my history for various reasons and find it very time consuming to search now.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive a response to your email - I've looked through our email logs, and haven't found your request. Could you please resend it to customerservice@elann.com, so that we can troubleshoot what happened to the first email, and respond? Thanks very much!

liquid silver shawl help Hi Cheryl,

When you work this series of stitches, you will begin by slipping two stitches knitwise together from your left needle to your right needle - both the mounts and the stitches are now reversed. Next, you knit one stitch, and then pass the two stitches that you slipped together over the stitch you just knit, a decrease of 2 stitches.

Do let us know if that helps solve the mystery for you.

All the best,
