Barbara: I dig it out for you
|
What I love about Noro is the element of surprise - the raw texures, the down to earth purity - nothing in this yarn is predictable but so lovely. There is something surreal about Noro that I cannot get away from. That reminds me, I need to post a pic of Noro.. FELTED. The result is gorgeous, but is it worth the money? not sure. i think it is worth doing ONCE. Suzie http://knitnlisten.blogspot.com

Knitnicky! your shawl...
|
Wow, I`m so encouraged seeing your First Shawl. Its beautiful! I am about to do my first project... it will likely be the Cozy Stole from Knitty.com (I still need to swatch and see how I like it). right now I`m working on the Vibe yarn project. Will post that soon.
What a gorgeous color and shape. Is it fairly large? How many balls did you use? You`ve really been busy with the needles havent you? =) Your work has been lovely to look at. Thanks for posting and sharing with us! suzie Suzie

Can anyone tell me about Baby Cash Cedar
|
Ok, I just checked, as I have the Baby Cash Cedar here with me...
Jayne, I would say the Cedar is darker than shown. it is definitely not identical to Peacock. Peacock definitely is bluey.. Cedar is a natural green.
Hope this helps.
I want to come tmw night, but it may be a tad late. A family I finish up with at 8, and they are in Abbotsford. It depends on how quickly I get out of there and down the hwy. If late, it`ll be a short time. (Im dying to see your cashmere project.) I can bring the Cedar with me. Let me know if you are okay with this.

Did you all see the lovely pattern featured with this yarn? I love the jacket - the collar is so pretty. Too bad there is a limited selection of color now. So pretty though.

Jaynes Cropped Cardigan
|
Hi All,
I went to Jayne`s knit night - I had to work but managed to get myself in before they shut down for the night. I met CBM`s friend and that was a hoot. A really friendly group and very easy to `fit in.`
I got to try on Jaynes latest project - the cropped cardigan featured on her blog http://seejayneknit.blogspot.com/. The pattern is LOVELY and the elan cashmere is the softest thing to be next to the skin. Jayne and I are two different sizes and it fit us both. So the pattern has alot of ease to it. I can`t wait to work with my cash - however I am vicariously working with Vibe to ensure my stash doesn`t get out of hand.

Another good knitting book review
|
Thank you for the review, Amy. I will look into it. I am wanting to do a stole, and am concerned about having something that requires too much thinking. I am a lace knitter wannabe! My first stole (as it stands) will be Cozy from Knitty.com.
