I Did the Deed... Hey,
I have the same thing in my cart. Went to look at some approximations for a vest with this yarn and the laptop crashed. I`m guessing 6 skeins would be plenty. Agree?? I didn`t see a pattern in Knitty I like.. drat. Anybody got ideas? I want to get this yarn before it goes on me. =P

cornelia tuttle hamilton, Vol 2 Wow, thats pretty, the ribbed cardi. I just looked it up. Not going to take on a big undertaking just yet. I`ll try a vest - would like it ribbed too! Right now on the search for a pattern...... I was thinking of trying Kashmer Aran. May try the vest Lisa did by Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton, Volume 2. Wish I knew how many skeins to get. Does anyone have this book? I`m thinking about ordering it.

Madrona Fiber Arts Festival http://www.madronafiberarts.com/index.html

Has anyone heard of this weekend event? My sis and her friend Patty went and had a great time. There are workshops in knitting and Di says many Canadians came for this event.

Would be fun if we all met up there, next year!

What`s on Needles This Weekend? I`m been on the grindstone to finish up the cropped cardi so I can move onto something else. Got a sleeve and a half to go!! Had hoped to finish it up before bedtime.. I`ll have to extend this project a few more days.

I wish I could be doing the Lady E knitalong.. is this done with self striping yarn only? I have none in my stash.. hmmmmm.

knitting socks with one round needle Hi all, I`m knitting a pair of socks using two socks on one needle. Its not hard to do but needs thoughtful concentration. I followed these instructions: http://www.cometosilver.com/socks/2mlsocks_start.htm

These directions are clear and precise, photos and all.

Good luck. =) Suzie

Whats everyone got on their needles? Sheepishly arising from the dead...

Hi regulars, its good to be back. I`m getting my fingers back on the needles, and the yarn on it as well! I`ve finished two of my three job contracts and am now down to a 35 hours a week, regular and permanent. Now thats what feels like a holiday...

I am starting to look at your blogs once again and feel inspired. Its great to see what everyone is doing. Two down, many to go! (Jayne has a store??!! Way Cool. CBM got to visit Vancouver and meet fellow elannites, Very Way Cool.)

I will have to get my blog updated. Oh man, its been so long. BUT, I did finish the cardi over Spring Break, Redone as it was too small. Now I wear it in comfort. =)

Heres what I`m working on:

Gothic Leaf Stole (using Elanns baby cash. sigh, I love this one)

a pair of woolen socks, done two socks on one long circular needle. I got the instructions here:
http://www.cometosilver.com/socks/2mlsocks_start.htm

Another pair of socks I`ve casted on this morning - I`m eager to try Broadripple from Knitty. I was at a couple of yarn shops yesterday and felt like I had truly risen from the dead. =)

If any of you have done the Gothic Leaf Stole, let me know. I`ve frogged back too many times but like the effect so much I will persevere. The luxury of the baby cash makes it all the more worthwhile.

Anyone try knitting two socks on one needle?

I`m happy to be back.

Whats everyone got on their needles? Great to hear from you too, Jayne.

Yes, makes good sense. It matches your passionate personality. =) Dealing in yarn-nage and accessories sounds like a great way to bring in the cash(and cashmere?)

I`ll be following the blog sites.. Thanks for the warm greeting.

Whats everyone got on their needles? I`d noticed some new babies, thats for sure! Welcome to the world, little one(s).

I went through Jaynes shop and hummed and hawed over the beautiful goods. As I need to lower my stash before I`ll buy more yarn, I restrained myself to her stitch markers. I have a couple in mind.

I cast on Knitty`s Broadripple with 2 circ`s. That may be less confusing than two sox on one needle and would likely provide more rhythm in the knitting process.

Whats everyone got on their needles? Hi Joan, I wish I had the color for you. I bought one Canapone out of curiosity a while back and have not used it. its a lovely yarn and I wonder what its like knitting it. Your pic shows a beautiful result. One day your color will come.

I spotted your blogsite earlier today and was amused by your post on Croc`s. I do not own a pair....yet? I was also wondering how things are with you.
Thanks for coming near, its nice hearing from you.

As for BC, the weathers been WET. I did some work in the garden a week or so ago and am happy to see the rainfall.

And you thought your stash was big Hiiii to you too, Lisa!

I`ve come across my pattern for the vest in recent days and have thought of you. Your garden photos look breathtaking. I`ve been rustling around in my garden trying to make sense of the nonsense. I need to post a pic as I`m quite proud of it right now. Yours is wonderful!

Yes to the eye boggling STASH. I remain diligent in getting to the bottom of mine, (estimated to be no more than 20 kinds of yarn - I`m a slow knitter as you will now know.) Admittedly I would love to have more eye candy to pet and stroke... mmmmm.
