Patricia, Your Scarves! Trish the pattern calls for 230 yds. of finger or lace weight. I don`t remember how many skeins of devon that I used. I have only completed one repeat of the cashmere and it will be for me... the devon was sent to DDIL in Japan.

Patricia, Joan and Bri ---- what great projects Actually Amy the pink one is for me cause I been good!Well not really, I just didn`t get it done in time to gift it. I am also thinking about frogging it cause I think that I would like to make something close to the skin with it. Haven`t decided yet.

Does this upset anyone else, or am I just being silly? My 3 granddaughters all attend the same elementary school. It`s the same one that their daddy went to by the way, which I find way cool, and they have even had some of the same teachers as he did.
Yesterday was the "Holiday Program". K-3 classes performed and it was very nice, but and this is what has me upset, not one single Christmas song, not one mention of Christmas. The 3rd grade class did a song that made me bawl. It was titled "My Wish" and was very very touching. They also signed the whole song as they were singing.
I understand the political correctness aspect but come on people a little "jingle bells" would have been nice.

Love the hat Trish.. I saw it yesterday on your blog and have downloaded the pattern. I have some beautiful angora that I am going to use for mine.
Really nice job.

OT-more political incorrectness from yours truly! Can`t think of one that I do not like except maybe the chipmunks or the dogs barking. My all time favorite is Good King Wenceslas and I never hear it anymore.
I remember my first Christmas away from home, I was 20 and in Germany with David having just been married.I would listen to a French radio station and the carols sounded so beautiful sung in french and german.I would sit and cry, not so much out of being homesick but because of the shear beauty of the season.
We had all of the people that he worked with come to our apartment to help deocrate our "Charlie Brown" tree. David is fanatic about tinsel and HE (not me) will put it on the tree one strand at a time making sure that it is perfectly even. Well, I told everyone in secret how he was about tinsel so everyone grabbed a bunch and just threw it on the tree. I thought he was going to have a heart attack.
