Amy`s Hot Wing Dip Amy I made your hot wing dip for a pot luck and it was loved by all (I should have doubled it). One of the people in attendence is a chef at a private college and he asked for the receipe. The college has a lot of summer conferences on campus and he prepared it for a group of over 200 people. It was a huge sucess and he plans to put it on the "line" when classes start up at the end of the month.

Lantern Moon circulars I received a pair and they are to die for. They feel so good in my hands, I want one of every size and length. lol

Lantern Moon circulars I ordered them from http://jimmybeanswool.com/. I had ordered a whole set. When lantern moon kept delaying delivery to the distributors but managed to have them at all of the shows this summer I cancelled my order for the set. Jimmybeans is really super to deal with. When they finally got their shipment in they offered me a 10% discount even if I only wanted to purchase 1 pair. They are really a great place to do business with, terrific customer service, just like here, well maybe not that good, but close.

He`s gone.....:( DS#2 is leaving for Toyko today. It is a 13 hour flight from Chicago and it is a trip I`ll NOT make. He will be gone for 3 years. Him and I fight all of the time, from the minute we say hello, lol, because we are mirror images. DH is the peacekeeper, always laughing at us and making us laugh and see how we really look. I will miss him and his wife so much. Please keep a good thought for them as they travel today.

Patricia, it`s beautiful- Well, I am dpn incapable (almost poked my eye out), so I started with 2 circular #5`s. The yarn was something that I gon on Ebay and was really disappointed with the colors. I had started this with Taj in blues but didn`t care for it knitted in this pattern. Once I completed the first clue with the Jojoland I liked it much better. The pattern name is Desert Flower. Very very simple pattern and it was so much fun to make.
What other details would you like?

Patricia, it`s beautiful- Bets, forgot to mention that when I received this yarn my first thought was Betsy would not like the colors of this at all. lol

Patricia, it`s beautiful- Thank you everyone. The yarn was very nice to work with, but it is a little scratchy and I couldn`t wear it next to the skin. The colors do not show up well in the picture. It is shades of green, yellow and orange. The size is around 46 inches.

Patricia, it`s beautiful- Thank you Sandra. Yes it is laid out on the deck which is soon to be replaced with the new plastic wood looking stuff! Ours is really bad too.

swallowtail shawl SK I casted on this shawl last night and finished chart 2 once. I am using some 2 ply cashmere that I purchased on ebay, and I am using my Knitpick needles #4. So far it is a dream to work. I really like her designs a lot.

Top three projects on needles -- and which one today?? I have a hanging garden stole by Sivia Harding (my first attempt at beading), swallow tail shawl and the enterlac baby blanket. There are several other things on needles, at least I think there are, if not then someone has raided my needles, but they are all on time out for one reason or another....

Patricia, that blanket looks soooooo cuddly! Amy it is really about the most simple knitting that there is, IMHO. It is just stockinette stitch and picking up stitches. It involves a whole lot of turning of your work whice can be a pain. I don`t feel that I`ve accomplished anything until I reach the end of the row and each row is about 1,000 stitches.
I found the book How to Knit - The Definitive Knitting Course Complete with Step-by-Step Techniques, Stitch Library and Projects for Your Home and Family by Deb Bliss has really great instruction, much better than the instructions for Lady Eleanor.
The yarn is a dream to work with, but it is wool and I hope the new mom isn`t too upset with the handwashing bit!!
