Return of the Frog
|
Oh my I sure do hope this is not going around again! I am going to frog my "not your mothers suit coat". I just am not happy with the way that it looks, too much bulk in the under arm. I am hoping to salvage my cherry tree hill yarn, but I know that the WB can not be saved. Also, planned on sewing together my cotton cardi today and realized that I had only made one sleeve (lol) and that one was about 2 inches too long. Just thought that I would warn you that the frog bug may have returned, but I am hoping it isn`t so.

Thanks for the information Melanie. I don`t think that I could just "throw the WB away" so I`ll keep this in mind. Thanks again, and welcome to the chat center, we are a real friendly bunch.

Roll call-how does elann influence you?
|
Where do I begin to tell you how elann has influenced me? I`ve been inspired by all of you who are so talented and willing to share "things that you have learned along the way". You have all helped me make it through some difficult days. I`ve been encouraged to continue a project to the end. No one laughes at you when you buy 30 skiens of yarn because you love it so much, everyone understands, no need to explain. And of course the support we give to one an other to build a better stash.

Sorry to hear about the defeat by the French. I understand that flags were at half mast, do you know if that`s true? DH and I use MSN all of the time and we find it more reliable than yahoo.

Knitting Machine Question
|
In another post Candance stated "Another machine tip -- I often hand-knit all the pieces of a garment but use my machine to seam/assemble (esp. the sleeves to the body of the sweater). I get much better results doing that than I do trying to hand-sew them in." I am very interested in this aspect of the machine. Has anyone done this, is it difficult? All comments welcomed because I have several projects that need to be sewn together and I just dread doing it.

recycled silk

Corinna I recently purchased some of this yarn on ebay and I received it today. I am having an awful time trying to wind it into balls. Do you have any tips to make this easier?
