Bets Was Right! Enuff! I need to grocery shop to day and the mere thought of entering wal-mart is giving me a head ache! We use to have a chain here in Wisconsin called Kohls, they have since branched out and opened department stores with the same name. The grocery stores were great and had the best produce around, but they have closed all of the grocery stores.

OOPS! Well I managed to find a pattern in VK that I really like,actually I found 2, #19 & #20. So off I go to the stash that is hidden in plain sight in my bedroom to look for some cotton yarn. Not only did I find 30 skeins of Jaeger Aqua in a pumpkin color, but I found a Hanne kit that I`d ordered before Christmas. I`d totally forgot about this kit. Now if I could just find my mind somewhere in that bedroom I would be a very happy person.

What are you working on this week (don`t be shy!) Do you mavens knit with your feet too? I am too busy looking at patterns to figure out what to start! I do have a childs sweater on needles,back is done and front started. A bulky knit sweater using 2 strands of Peruvian Alpaca is started and I am thinking about the #20 in VK, but am not sure about the color of the cotton that I have. It is pumpkin and I am afraid that is just what I would look like in it! Perhaps one of Betsy`s hat to top it off .
DH is just about done with his first scarf and then wants to tackle the knitting board. I will let you know how it goes Bets.

Giotto Scarf Looks great! So did your friend from Wales arrive with your colinette yarn? I really enjoyed working with the yarn in the kit of the Ab Fab Throw. Great stuff!

I need people to say OOOH, poor baby.... Ooh, poor baby... there does that make it better? I sure do know what you mean though! I`ve just ripped out, for the third time, the back of a sweater and DH said "aren`t you going to wear out the yarn"! So now I am on the puter pouting, in true adult form.

In a pickle Boy Betsy I could not agree with you more! You spend more energy thinking about the thing you didn`t buy but wished that you had,and why the heck should you have to justify buying yarn. I bet if one of your children saw something they "had to have" you would find a way to purchase it for them and not give it another thought, or if DH thinks he needs a new gun to take up in that deerstand.Shoot it`s not like you`re throwing money away on gambling.
Just my two cents worth.

DH finished his scarf!!!!! First completed project, now if I could just get him to drape his pretty pink creation around his neck so I can snap a picture I will post it!!

Pink cabled turtleneck by TheresafromQueens Theresa I thinkt hat I may have a ball of the Pingouin Soft Hair if you need it. Let me know. Don`t remember Tammy dolls, I never liked Barbie, still don`t. I had a Betsy McCall doll that went everywhere with me but didn`t know what happened to her until after my mom passed I was cleaning out her things and found dear Betsy tucked away for safe keeping.

DH finished his scarf!!!!! Theresa he truely enjoyed it.He finds it very relaxing and a real stress buster. Neither of us enjoy watching t.v., but the darn thing seems to be on all of the time(can`t miss any breaking news). So in the evening when I begin knitting to block out the t.v. he would do the same. He ordered a knitting board from qvc and plans to watch the video this week-end so that he can make flat objects. I`ve offered to teach him to use needles, but he said no, not yet.

Milestone Aren`t those childhood memories wonderful. It is -1 outside today. We heat with wood and someone didn`t get up at 2am to fill the stove so it was a mere 53 in the house this morning. Looks like I may have to crank up the furnace.

Milestone We have a Vermont Casting wood burning stove and it really does a great job heating the whole house. But when it gets so cold at night someone has to get up and fill it. We live in Wisconsin. I`ll just put a pot roast in the oven for dinner and it will be just fine, but it is a shock when your feet hit the wood floor in the morning. My toast had visible steam this morning.

Milestone We also have the Defiant. We did a ton of research before buying it.I raise bread on the side racks and also dry a lot of sweaters on the mitten dryers,and I have cooked a lot of soup on it too.

DH finished his scarf!!!!! Don`t mind at all! I was given the honor of naming her and she is Sydney Madison! She is only 5 (hard to believe),she towers over her twin sisters who are 6, and she is the apple of her "papa`s" eye cause she looks like him when he was young.

Milestone I too managed to stay away from the Uros. I got the Highland instead. Now that alpaca and tencel sounds really appealing to me. Is there a nice selection of colors? I have just signed up for the samples and it will not begin until March.

Och Feck! Oh my gosh! Cadbury is my most favorite candy bar in the world "Caramallo". I would love a hat in that color of purple!!! I don`t wear hats, but there is just something about that color!!!
