I made one just like cuzco wrap last week Shui Shen, that`s very kind of you, and I would love to have your pattern. I did not dare ask for your mother`s cable pattern in your baby camel sweater, but any pattern form you would be a treat. Then when I make it, I can tell people I got the pattern from an artist!
My e-mail is martardias@yahoo.com
Thanks in advance.

gift kits for knitters Bri, you might want to include for a beginner something like a stich/needle gauge, or the booklet with yard requirements by Ann Budd. They are small items that make life so much easier, and not all beginners may know about.

The Peruvians are laying me out!!! Sneak peek up! I am also desperately trying to resist until I make more of a dent on my accumulated yarn. Better go knit!

MacChick--Beauty & Function Combine in your Hat! I am taking notes here...Thanks for taking the time to expand on your beautiful creative useful works (I could go on and on, but I`d better go knit or I`ll never finish my pressies in time...).

Camoflaging those white boxes Les,
Oh, the troubles one goes through for the yarn one MUST have! Your story is really funny... The other day my DH asked half-jokingly if I am planning to fill the house with yarn. I just had to gently remind him that I use it (or intend to, anyway) and that his photography hobby is much more expensive. Case closed!
Looking forward to the pictures. Hope your floor won`t require another creative solution!

labels in knitting Char Loving`s Knitting Journal is a good tool to get started, with space for picture, yarn, gauge, notes, etc., for each project, quite well organized (of course a binder or notebook can do just as well, with more or fewer embelishments). My DIL gave me one and I vowed to really use it to keep good records of my projects, which invariably end up at least slightly changed from the patterns - when I follow a pattern. About a year later, I have a few things well documented, and a lot of loose notes stuffed into the book, waiting to be cataloged!!! At least they are together in one place...I don`t seem to find time for both knitting and recording the process - or maybe it takes knitting really out of the ordinary to motivate me to do it.
So it is a matter of discipline and time, but I agree that many of you, extraordinary knitters/artists, should really record the story of your works of art for posterity. Hope you do it!

Oh Kim, Bravo on MIL`s scarf! Your scarf looks gorgeous. I started knitting in that yarn too, and it has been fantastic - fast and pretty. I got some velvet, and your picture reassured me it is going to make an awsome gift.
Thanks for posting.

Successful gut-wrencher That`s one absolutely terrific sweater and you did it SO FAST! I am very jealous, my DH will keep waiting as I have to finish DGSs` Peruvian Cashmere sweaters first - or I won`t have enough yarn, the way they are growing...Besides, I am a little scared of such a big project - there, I said it!

Congratulations again.

Marta
