Bets, a b-day calendar sounds wonderful.
As for projects, I finished a lace scarf in JS Mohair this weekend (first time knitting with mohair, I was nervous but it turned out great and was fast and fun), another in Taj (I pull my hair I only ordered 2 balls of it!) and now on to a sweater for each grandson (2) in the PC Baby Cashmere I bought almost a year ago!!! In between, I`ll tuck in a couple more scarves and hats for presents - and I don`t know if I`ll have time for anything else before Christmas. I keep pushing an alpaca cardigan for myself and a sweater for DH into an indefinite future...How I wish I was as fast as some of you!

Hi, Ann
I would imagine that to crochet on the slant you need to skip the first stitch when you turn, and add one at the end of the row (do two stitches in the last one). Then, depending on how pronounced you want the slant, repeat it on the next row, or every other row.
This may need a little experimentation, and I don`t have the time right now, but I think it would work.
I`ll keep my eyes open for a pattern and let you know if I come across one.

I didn`t use to be a morning person, but have indeed been waking up at strange hours lately! Must be the knitting - or crochet or whatever - vibes in the air...
