If I remember correctly, the official record-holder is from Shetland - and stated for the article that she had not knitted in months, her spare time being totally absorbed in some sort of card game with her friends. Now let`s see if she`ll come to New York to defend her title...
Eileen and Theresa, will you get front row seats, or enroll in the competition? lol Although the article did not say a word about the quality of the work - those speedsters may produce results beneath your standards...

Oh, Bets, so sorry! Just when I was starting to laugh at Benne`s hilarious "planning", your news brought me back to reality - a niece of mine has just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and she is only 26! It seems to be a highly curable form, but still...My heart goes out to you, right now unfortunately I can genuinely say I know what you are going through. I`ll add your friend to my prayers - right there with my niece and my mom, also preparing for surgery (gallbladder, not serious if she were not a few weeks shy of 80).

Doesn`t that sweater have ribbed sleeves? If it is the one I think, ribbing the back to match the sleeves would look way cool...Now, what size needles are you going to use?LOL...
