Miacara very cute! What a pretty collection of "successories", for small and real dolls! Lucky girl, indeed!

Nice gloves, Eileen! Hope you are feeling better. Those gloves are really nice and must be very warm, too. Thanks for posting.

Ghislaine`s Cardigan I can only second all that has been said. What a neat project, and what great results!

"candace baby cardigan" I would go with bear or lion buttons - something that ROARS...
Have fun with that project!

Everyone, please promise... ...never (again?) to use a chair instead of a stepladder to reach that high shelf. After doing it countless times - always over the protests of DH, who even bought me a light but stable, to-be-used-inside-the-house-only stepladder - I did it again a few weeks ago - and my luck ran out! Four broken ribs later and still on the mend, here goes a warning: DON"T EVER DO IT! It is way too painful - and I was lucky no vital organs were damaged in my split-second brush with hardwood...

Everyone, please promise... Thanks, Benne! I am taking all the hugs and pampering coming my way, but you know, I really don`t deserve them. After all, and unlike yours and every other accident I have had, I knew pretty well this was stupid and dangerous - and yet, I still did it! Again and again!!!
And that`s why I posted this - maybe someone will remember next time a chair is closer than the stepladder, and go get that stepladder instead.

I am just getting to a point where I can sleep for a few hours in a row before the pain wakes me up, and breathing is not so painnful any longer. You know, to make things really interesting, I came down with the flu a week after that sorry episode, and coughing was something to remember for a long time...
Thanks again,

Marta

Everyone, please promise... Thanks, Bets! Yup, I was pretty lucky. Considering that it was totally avoidable, I did deserve a big ITYS from DH, but it has not come!!! How LUCKY am I? Especially since on top of everything else, we had plans for that weekend that I totally ruined...Gotta love him to pieces - which I do!

Take good care of your elbow - I hesitate to say don`t knit so much, even for a short while...

Everyone, please promise... Thanks, Shui Kuen, that`s why I posted this note - call it a plea. Remember it next time you are tempted to reach for that chair...

P.S.: What gorgeous project are you working on?

Everyone, please promise... That`s a good rule, Carol! The trick is to never make an exception, right? I`ve finally learned that it applies to myself, too...

Everyone, please promise... They are indeed painful! But I really don`t feel I can complain when I could - and should - have avoided it - that`s the maddening part! Anyway, I don`t think I`ll ever do it again...

Glad to read on another post that your foot is off the cast. I wore one of those laced braces some years ago (yes, for a broken foot!) and they are great, though bulky. No dressy shoes for a few more weeks, uh?

Everyone, please promise... Thanks for your good wishes. And yes, sitting in a recliner knitting has been a big help! Finishing, though, is another matter right now...
