Corinna! Hi,

Such beautiful work does deserve the "Fiber Arts" title! And your gorgeous "model" is enjoying all the fun, too! Congratulations.

Afghans or household items???? If they are interested in lowly potholders (entirely "designed" by me and very good for taking things out of the oven when those clumsy oven mittens will get in the way - I may be able to help - as long as their time frame is not too tight, because I have a trip coming up.

bio & pic Great picture and bio. Bets has a point, when I was growing up everybody knitted, embroidered, etc., oh, but I refuse to age - mentally, anyway!
I`ve also found this an amazing talented group. Glad you are adding to that pool!

It IS Monday It wasn`t there half an hour ago when I peaked! With all that you`ve said about this yarn, I`m facing a very difficult decision - to try or not to try... I was hoping to make some space in the closet before it showed up!

They found my fingerprints! Congratulations! And what a relief, now everybody knows you exist and are not dangerous!!!
Does this mean there will be fewer pictures of your wonderful and so very creative works?

Corinna, WOW!!! I already complimented you on your wonderful projects - and I had a kind of warmy fuzzy felling when I saw your use of Pakucho (is this a terminal disease???!!!). Pakucho was the first yarn I bought from Elann two years ago, for a sweater for my then 2-year-old grandson. Havng just started knitting after many many years off, I found it very unforgiving at the time, any little imperfection showed - which is another reason I so appreciate your work with it.
But I bought more when it was offered last year, and hope it keeps showing up in the future so I can try other colors. It may become the "Highland" of cottons!

Question about mohair Several of you have knitted beautiful items in mohair, with and without a "carrier". I bought the Jo Sharp Mohair and have been wondering if the upcoming fine merino wool be a good candidate for that? Any other suggestion?
Thanks,
Marta

Question about mohair Thanks, Benne. I splurged somewhat on the mohair, and got several colors. My daughter wants a hat-and-scarf combination in wisteria, and I got velvet, romany and clover that she does also loved (she doesn`t know about these yet). I loved them all, basically. Besides the hat/scarf, I am very tempted to embark on a shawl at some point.
Do you think merino sounds like a good carrier, if one is needed?

Is this normal? Hi, Libby! So you are still around...As Jean says, try to stock up on sleep. My only girl kept "hesitating" much longer than her brothers, so it may go with the territory...(and in my case, she is th estrongest-willed of my children...)She`ll soon make up her mind .
Best wishes and my prayers for a very easy time.

holiday stocking patterns Hi, Bri

If you are looking for something small, Jeanne posted a pattern and a picture here not too long ago. If yo do a search under her name, I`m sure it will show up.
If I run into anything else, I`ll post it too.
Happy knitting.
