Every heard of a shrugawl? Ohhh, I like it! Solves the problem of hanging onto the shawl or tying it when one has other things to do besides looking pretty!

Every heard of a shrugawl? How do you get the free pattern. Is it with a purchase? I couldn`t figure it out!

I need ideas! I have a box of Lara in the sapphire blue that I bought last year to make a sweater. I pulled out the cardigan sweater pattern and the yarn the other day and sweater is for a heavier yarn. Darn!
Endless Summer Collection Lara
Fibre Content: 100% Combed, Mercerized, Double Gassed Cotton
Gauge: 24-26 st/4 inches 3.25 - 3.5 mm (US 3-4)
50g (1.75 oz) ball Yardage: 127 m (138 yards)
I may have to do some math and adjust the pattern. Before I do, I was wondering if any of you had any great pattern ideas. What did you knit with your Lara?

I need ideas! Thanks for the idea Lisa. I have 15 balls of the Lara. That is 2070yds, so quite a bit.
That sweater from Knitty is a very pretty pattern - nice stitch, eh? I could change it to long sleeves. (and I`d want more width for less cling)
The original pattern I had in mind was a Garnstudio pattern (Drops #78)- a v-neck cardigan with a textured area, not quite a rib, part way up and on the bottom of the sleeves.
I was looking too at the Sally`s favorite sweater but it is knit in a bit heavier yarn and I`m not sure of the sleeves being so wide at the underarm. I guess that could be changed. Did you swatch the Lara for that sweater?

I need ideas! Yes, Lisa, that`s the pattern! Good sleuthing! It is published in English.
There are translators notes at the beginning and they say one may have to go up 1-3 needle sizes to get gauge. "American knitters, whether they knit "American" or "Continental", have a much tighter gauge." Interesting.

I`ll just have to swatch it and see if the Lara can be used with that pattern. It is knit in one piece to the armholes.
Ah, decisions, decisions!

Thanks for the design help Chris, that sweater is soo sweet. Great job modifying it! Maybe it would go with a bright yellow skirt du jour and you`d never lose her in a crowd! Lets hope hope her resolve extends into her teen years and helps her avoid peer pressure!!

help, please! I have been knitting tbl from right to left like Libby as well! I`m going to have to pick up the needles and try the "from left to right" way and see what happens. It sounds kind of awkward doesn`t it!.............

I`m going to be a Mama again! My mallard eggs are hatching! Awww, you`re going to have such fun. Will they think you`re their mom and follow you around? Will they have an Aunt to show them how to swim and dive?
