Salt Spring pictures are driving me nuts! Me too!! I`d love to be back there again! Great house eh? Alice hosts a great experience and it was a great group. They must have been Alices, but there were about 3 double bullet lamps on stands for evening knitting while we digested our fabulous suppers. sorry guys! naomi, from WA had the coolest little "Ott" lamp which she brought. It has natural light and is a little portable flip-open thing which sits on a side table or even the arm of a couch. (it does plug in) It provides great light at night and gives true colours. She got it at Joannes, I think she said.

Poncho Queen Oh, the possibilities, macChick. You`re amazing! I like how you did the shoulder/yolk area in what looks to me like diamonds.

Roll call-whatcha working on this week??? How`s the Christmas giftlist? Oh, you would ask, Bets!
I`m in the frog pond! I had a pullover done in Follies with just 1 1/2 sleeves to go and decided to frog it as I want a cardigan! so, I ripped it all out and started a cardi and decided that I don`t have enough yarn. Boo hoo. will have to find another pattern. I love the yarn and want to be sure I have something I`ll wear alot. (may have to be a vest)
Then, I was in my closet and saw an old sweater of my nieces that she had given us. It is one of those south or central american pullovers of fairly scratchy woolen yarn with lots of pills. I love the yarn (single ply, thick and thin) and colours so I frogged it, washed it in shampoo and fancy conditioner, hung the hanks all over the bathroom in our bedroom. This a.m. made a snowboard hat out of some of it. The yarn was still quite dirty - original dirt, not niece dirt ;-} Working on more slippers - requests from friends and some to sell at xmas in the store.
so, that`s about it!
Just got back from a quick visit to the Millarville Racetrack where the Junior Ladies Guild "Art Market" which is a sale with gorgeous "things", beautifully displayed. They mix things up and display more along the lines of colour. They don`t have manned tables for the artisans. Purchasing,um, I did well- I`ll leave it at that!!

Hummingbirds in Germany That`s really interesting, Jean! Now how the heck did you figure out that what you saw was a moth and find a web page! They seem to have articulated bodies like lobsters, don`t they! Now, if you could only knit them a little something irridescent to pretty them up!

Bets! What a classic photo! Sugah looks quite comfy in her Dali! Guess you couldn`t get her to hold on long enough to get the ear rings and false eye lashes on, eh? (what the heck is she doing on your leather couch?!!;-} )
Scarf is great, a good friend is having a BIG b-day coming up on sat. I bought a beautiful bag for her at the craft market on Sat and need something else to put in it - am thinking that I have some Dali coming today but only one ball extra without a purpose. will have to try a scarf with it and some alternating rows of some aran wt. alpaca I have been coveting, to get some length. Thanks! Dang, I have to go to work today- it`s always interfering!!

Oat Couture - I love it! This is great! LOL I was looking at the "Seville Jacket" pattern as a possibility for using my CE Follies from the pullover I frogged because I wanted a cardigan. I was looking at the sizes and they are:
Petite (Small, Medium, Large, Larger, Largest) so much kinder and more sensitive than Large, 1X, 2X, 3X don`t you think!! And the pattern is written for 3 weights of yarn - and one of them is Follies weight! (and I may have enough yarn to make full length sleeves rather than the 3/4 sleeves it shows.

Bets-All right baby!!!! good job Bets, just gorgeous! Looks like he is quite relaxed (I`ll bet you`re right, Heather - tranquilizers) and awaiting the press or perhaps the paparrazi!

so, I see the Dali, please itemize the rest for us!
