REALLY OT !!! and not!
|
Hmmm, mascara. I usually resort to L`Oreal Voluminous which doesn`t smudge or clump and helps with my less than luxurious, light brown lashes. I don`t even bother with my lower lashes...can`t see `em - they`re clear!! Love the Norah G. patterns. Glad you are up to knitting again. Bet it feels great! Les

Has anyone tried Navajo knitting method?
|
I`ve heard about navajo plying for spinning but I noticed this on Lucy Neatby`s site. She was suggesting it for using the Kauni yarn if you want a heavier gauge and don`t want to use 3 balls at a time. Interesting...... http://www.lucyneatby.com/navaho.html Les

I don`t have any Kauni with the LONG repeats but have some Noro Kureyon sock yarn that I have swatched and don`t think I will use it for socks, so will give it a go. Good luck with your thesis editing.......... Les

Need help - trouble with my needles
|
Need some help here. I`m knitting my Elann Lara yarn with my Harmony wooden interchangeable set of needles. I`m on a roll to finish a sweater and the join of the wooden needle has slipped just a wee bit out of the metal part. The Lara has many plies which like to stick in this gap. I have gently tried to twist the wooden part out without success so that I could glue it back in. Has anyone had this happen? If so what did you do? I would just send the tip back but I know it would probably take forever to get a new one and I`d lose my head of steam to finish this sweater. Les

Thanks, Billie for letting me know about the group. Will take a look. I am knitting Slinky Ribs from "Custom Knits" in the sapphire blue. I have knit the ribbed bodice down to the stockinette part and am just a few inches from the hem. I also partially knit the top down set in sleeves and added the rolled neckline so that I can try it on as I go and all things that may pull it up (sleeves and neck) are done so I get the length right. Thus, I am on the home stretch!

If I make this, will I be bitterly disappointed??

I don`t think it`s too young a style. I think it is very elegant - clean and simple lines.

What`s on the needles?
|
I have 3, top down sweaters on the go...... 2 are from Custom Knits - Favorite Cardigan and Slinky ribs. Fear of finishing I think!! Then I have the Hannah Fetig, Whisper well on it`s way. It is knit with laceweight Malabrigo so takes "a few" hours of knitting!
