Have you ever wondered about this

I always chuckle when I see someone selling yarn and they say "from a smoke free, pet free home". Have you ever noticed now many knitting blogs show numerous dogs, cats etc. Not that it`s an issue with me but do you truly believe that they are truly pet free homes? ;-}

That would look really nice on you Benne. to me, it appears more "fine" knit up than what might think of a "chunky yarn" fabric. I just wonder if I could get those buttons done up in the right buttonholes! LOL

Thanks, guys! All 4 skeins are the same of yarn and just started at different places. It is the same dyelot as the Dummy Clap I made - pic just doesn`t show some colours. Kind of hard to believe, eh? There are places (grey/brown areas) where the contrast isn`t that great and as I was knitting those places I considered changing it but didn`t and all in all it looks fine. I bought a bag of 10 on sale so now have three to play with. Might have another ball of a different colour in my stash that I can use. I already gave the scarf away to my friend - just a couple of hours ago. She`ll be coming back so maybe i can photograph her in it. She`s delivering the mail and is one of my food obsessed buddies just like me!!

Les- you`ve been busy

Gosh, you guys are making me blush with all of your kind words!! We have had some cold weather over night with snow so I will give the Meret a whirl today. I hope I didn`t make it too slouchy - the weight may make it want to slide off! You`ll cringe when I tell you that I put it into a cold wash in the machine to "rough it up" a bit and make a nice bloom. Pre soaking, the horseshoe lace made the hat look a little like an artichoke, LOL!
The striped set is a superbulky yarn I had bought some time ago at quite a deal. I had started a bag to felt (altho it has some acrylic, it does felt very slightly) some time ago but frogged it. It is for my great nephew, Hugh, but he`s not quite a year old so it won`t fit for a while being a 2-4yo size. I used the Vest pattern from the Ann Budd Handy Book of Patterns. The striping sequence is very different in each ball so there is no hope of making things line up at all.
