cara arrived! Got mine today - two colours and not the ones that I started out to get!! It is sooo nice! Soft, squooshy, lovely. Mulling over what I want to make. DD#2 wants something from Custom Knits........might start there.

I like the deep V, fitted shape, the shawl collar and the texture! It is in the Nov 08 Creative Knitting, p 16 and also says on Rav that you can buy just the pattern.

for the Cara perhaps? I think that the mag has really picked up the pace! They seem to be using more natural fibers that block well and look best in pics, fewer gaudy colours and more advanced techniques than they were before. It`s not as well photographed as others but I like to look through it. Haven`t actually made anything from it yet! LOL
It`s interesting that the projects I see faved a lot on ravelry are the ones that are blocked well. Check that out!

Nice wrap Les! Marie - I used all of those single skeins I have been coveting for the colours or fiber! There is a rayon tape, about 3-4 mohairs, some chenille, some handspun multicolour, some sock yarn, eyelash etc. It`s a jayne thornley pattern - check her out on Ravelry or her website. She talks about the yarns.

Cable Vent Jacket #20 - VK Debbie Bliss Magazine Would that be to increase on row 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 and 36? That would be 6 times, every 6th row. That`s how I would interpret it. Good luck, Kelly, that`s one nice jacket pattern!

Happy Thnksgiving Canada No shopping! Just having a slice of pumpkin pie for breakfast from last night. Yum! Made the pastry with chilled vodka in it. It was great!

It is now lying in a heap waiting for me to reknit it (too big). Perhaps I chould just put it in a basket for art, sigh, All those coveted yarns!

Re: Monday/Thursday specials I get the Elann sample subscriptions. In the package was the pamphlet of upcoming yarns. There was mention that there would be some colours (that we didn`t get snips of) that would only be available in small quantities. This could have been the issue with some people - they were choosing the colours that there was not a large quantity of. Also, it was a darned good price!!
