Today`s Cotton Stretch I just finished the Blue Sky Alpaca Cropped Cardigan that Jayne and CBM made awhiles back (in some stashed Katia Twist.) I think this yarn would be a great sub. Gosh the yardage on the Online is really good too!

BFL vs. Superwash Merino What`s the difference between the two? I`m guessing the merino is softer to start with and the BFL softens up after a soak but other than that can you tell the difference? Is one better than the other for a shawl?

BFL vs. Superwash Merino Thanks, Joan and Angela! Very helpful information. I think the BFL is exactly what I`m looking for-the cottony hand rather than the bouncier feel of the merino (I loved the Devon but wanted something a bit firmer.) Thanks again!

Cotton Stretch arrived Are you swatching with US#10`s? I keep going back and looking at the colors. Love that yellow! and the green tea! and the blue!

Bets, did you see the men`s top-down saddle in KnitScene? That Camelot sweater is nice. I went through the stash to see if I had anything that would work. The closest I came to in gauge and quantity was some Katia Pisco. Might work.

Bets, did you see the men`s top-down saddle in KnitScene? I almost bought it for the modular vest but I couldn`t see myself knitting anything else in that issue. Maybe I glanced through it too quickly.

OT - What do you give to... I think knit gifts are definitely appropriate. I`ve knit, baked and given gift cards. Sometimes a bunch of the mom`s get together and coordinate a group gift like an airline ticket, gift card, Tiffany bracelet, etc.

Superwash bamboo bag peeps Isn`t this cute? Reminds me of the February Lady but with a v-neck. I think one of my colors (light on variation)will go toward this project.

Frogging Inverno?? I think I had to frog part of my collar and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn`t as sticky as some mohairs. At least that`s what I thought at the time. I still have a ball of mineral (I think) that I remember that I was going to save for you if you needed it. I don`t remember knitting it so it must be round here somewhere.

Frogging Inverno?? I think it`s pretty but I never knit it-just pet it. I think dragonfly and that red version were my faves. I think I only got one ball of the mineral. I know, I know I can`t seem to break my "just one" habit.
