HUGe haul (as long as you aren`t Jayne) How cool is that! Love your haul too. I`m going to sign up next time. I`ve always been lacking for an idea but I`ve got one now...finally!

Are the needles hummin`? I`d like to make Calorimetry for my DD`s but I doubt they`d wear them. They prefer their hair straight with a part down the middle--flatter the better. Ick. About the facecloths--do you give them with a soap of some kind? I made some out of the Pakucho but am not sure what to throw in with them.

Kelly, who is anxiously awaiting the debut of the aran topdown.

Silken Kydd has arrived It sounds lovely! I`m hoping mine will be here today. I ordered on the debut day--thought I would have it by Friday or Saturday. I guess Christmas even slows those Elann deliveries.

WTG Lisa- Fabulous projects, Lisa! The Cobblestone is one of the best that I`ve seen. It fits him to a tee--he looks like a model! Love the hats and mitts--great colors! You`ve been one productive knitter! WTG!!

Is Highland Silk going to be re-stocked? Does anybody know?

OT - Pressure cookers, yea or nay? Bets, you mentioned having one. Do you use it often? A friend of mine says she puts meat from the freezer in, covers with liquid, cooks for 30 minutes and voila--dinner. Any thoughts? Forgetting to defrost is one of my many flaws. And does anyone remember whether Highland Silk is going to be re-stocked?

Kellygirl - Highland Silk Thanks--at least it sounds like it is coming back. That`s a good thing :)

OT - Pressure cookers, yea or nay? My friend has an electric Presto and she loves it. I`ve been doing a bit of research on them and it appears that the stovetops have a better track record in terms of longevity. They are however, pretty pricey.

Thanks for all of your input. It`s the nudge I needed--I`ve been hemming and hawing (as usual.) My mom used a pressure cooker when I was a child--I remember the constant rattling and my nervous mom telling me not to get too close. They are waaay safer now so I`m willing to give it a try--plus that bit about cooking frozen meat is soooo cool!

Grace!! Oh my gosh, Grace! It`s gorgeous! I`ve never knit pure silk--it looks divine. How did the yarn behave after soaking? Terrific knitting, Grace!

Sierra Aran colors Hi Svetlana! You won`t be disappointed with the SA. I`m a fan too. I made my Drops 103 out of Italian Plum--I think it`s a very subtle purpley-reddish plum. I wear it and I don`t do brights well.

Sierra Aran Yippeee A friend of mine who is half mexican and half spanish looks great in the warmer earth tones--mustard, reds, greens. I`m looking at my color card and the colors that jump out at me are russet, sangria, garnet, chestnut, fiddlehead green. Do you have a color card?

OT - Pressure cookers, yea or nay? That`s too funny! I doubt that`ll ever happen at my house--dh doesn`t cook, period.

Future HUGe, to to cute Totally cute! They`d make great present toppers too.

SK! Gorgeous, SK! I love that pattern too.

needle advice pleeeeeese? I like the KP options--smooth join, flexible cable and sharp points which I prefer for lace. The Bryspun straights are nice too--I don`t care for the Bryspun circs. Good luck!

Aurora mohair -- suggestions please Does anyone know how to make mohair less scratchy? I`ve heard people say you can use hair conditioner or glycerin but does this really work? The circle vests I`m making won`t be next to the skin, but I noticed they are a bit prickly even over a tee.
