We have snow, how about you? Hey, Michelle, What fun! I take back my comments about your mittens--it looks like you do have a reason to have them, other than just to enjoy looking at! Greetings from the Front Range of Colorado where it also snowed this weekend, and mittens felt really good! Your knit hats are gorgeous, too! Such talent!Jamie

Camoflaging those white boxes Hi Les, I like the faux tree of white boxes idea the best. My garage has a wall of white boxes, and now I`m faced with having to knock them down (flatten them) to get more into the garage. They are such good boxes for sending gifts, etc. to others. I store my excessive yarn collection in large baskets, large transparent sided plastic bins and some of the large white boxes. I find that storing in the white boxes keeps me from seeing the collection and then forgetting it, and wanting more and more and more. It`s hard to grow a tree as fast as the white boxes appear! Best wishes, Jamie

labels in knitting Hi Pat, I have labels but usually forget to put them in the sweaters that I keep. I put them in sweaters that I sell or give, but not on scarves, hats or mittens. I make few sweaters but lots of the other items, so my labels will last forever. A really nice label like the one you described is really classy. My vote is use them! Happy knitting, Jamie

labels in knitting Hi Benne, It would be interesting to know how many knitters who participate here keep some sort of journal. I keep pictures of a lot of projects but I`m bad about keeping details of yarn, gauge, etc.

Ok ladies-Christmas knitting-where are you on your list? Christmas list??? You`ve got to be kidding. I am still working on projects for a fiber arts show/sale which is opening next Th for 6 days! I`m a crazy knitter and projects don`t usually get finished for Christmas presents; they arrive at different times of the year, all behind schedule! I`m a bit snowed in today with what is forcasted as a light snow, but I just cleaned 4-6 inches off my front walk! Great day for knitting! Jamie

Scraps of Outback wool? Hi Bets, What are you making from the scraps of Outback wool? I`m busy inventing wee project after project for a fiber arts show/sale. Right now using the Tajmahal (soft to die for) to make tiny mittens for tree ornaments. The variegated colors are super for these tiny things--17 sts on #2 needles to start for about a 1" tall mitten. I use scraps, leftovers in short segments, to make Lopi, Gjestal Naturgarn 1 mittens (also with 3 strands of White Buffalo)on #10 needles. They are popular in sales, especially if the weather is cold. Looks like I`ll be lucky this week, coz there`s about 6" of cold white stuff on the ground as I write, and more keeps falling. So glad our sale is next weekend. Happy knitting, Jamie

Scraps of Outback wool? Bets, It`s after midnight and the snow is still falling and the wind blowing it around so tomorrow will be another day to create items, also to get my car from its garage (not an attached one) and back to my condo to pack for inventory intake on Tuesday. Thanks for the good wishes on the sale.
I think your idea of using the outback wool with the bag yarn is an excellent one. I have both yarns but have the first outback project (a poncho) on the needles so don`t have extras yet. I bought more of the outback mohair than the wool it seems and have enjoyed using it. One mohair scarf went to a new home at an after church craft fair 2 wks ago. I think your knitting projects are super -- good colors, beautiful execution, great models too! Keep up the good work. Jamie
