Hope it sells for you too. Thanks for posting your projects. Best wishes and happy knitting, Jamie (who is knitting a recycled garter st scarf today, with a fair number of visible knots!)

Corinna! Fiber Artist is a totally appropriate title for you!
My local weavers guild has a fiber art sale each year and you are definitely a "fiber artist". JC

Jo Sharp Silkroad Ultra Patricia, When I saw your post all I could think to say was BUMMER! I started right in on the skeins I got and have had better luck. The yardage goes a long way, it seems, and I am pleased so far with my project--hat and mittens. Hope the knots don`t continue; in such thick yarn, you lose a lot of yarn dealing with knots. Happy knitting, Jamie

Lisa B - Fabulous hat & scarf! Lisa, The scarf is wonderful! I love the colors and it looks like a great piece of knitting. Also like the hat. How many skeins of the Araucania did the hat use? I think I have one skein of that color and your knitting really made it look great! Jamie

Afghan Yarn Hi Robin, I would suggest a wool-acrylic combination that is not too heavy in weight. Personally, I like all wool but washing can be a bit of a problem, although not as much as some say. Actually, it`s drying the afghan of wool that is the problem. A wool acrylic combination has both the warmth (without so much weight) and is quite washable. BTW, to wash a wool afghan I put in the washer filled with water, along with a good wool wash like Eucalan or Brown Sheep Shampoo for Wool, and let the afghan soak, manually moving around some. Then spin the water out.
With Eucalan you don`t have to rinse; with Brown Sheep, you do. Just never agitate or machine dry an all wool afghan (or any other knitted project-they will shrink). I spread the afghan out to dry across a drying rack, and try to keep it from stretching. I live in a dry climate so everything dries fast. This is not an ideal method if you live in a humid climate. Happy knitting for you. I love to wrap up in my knitted shawls and afghans; they are so cosy and warm! Jamie
