Newsletter subscription question Hi Marie,
I`m sorry, but you`ll need to wait to January to renew, as that`s when the available subscription date at the website will be February.

What a Coat! It`s moss stitch, Les. The texture of the stitch and the weight of the fabric is lovely.

Asking for your Input If we were to move to new forum format, how many forums and how many topics within each forum would you see as ideal?

Another way to think about this might be to ask you how you might organize all the subjects we have posted here to date (i.e. our "Threads) into "Topics", and then how you might put those topics under the more general umbrellas of the main "Forums" you would like to see.

Asking for your Input Thanks everyone - so far, it looks like we could all be on the same page - KIS!

Need help figuring how many skeins Hi Kim,

The way I would figure it out would be to knit a swatch in the pattern stitch of the blanket, say 4" x 4". I would note how many stitches and how many rows the swatch was for its size, and then rip it back, and measure its yardage, and do the math.

Your desired blanket size is 5184 square inches, so if your swatch of x yards made 16 square inches, how many yards would it take to make 5184 inches?

Esprit Chemo Turban Hi Anna,
Gauge isn`t hugely critical to the success of this project. I`d recommend swatching for a stretchy fabric you are pleased with, using a needle size that will produce the correct width of the piece for you. Then, if your row gauge is off, you may simply need to knit more or fewer rows to get your desired length.

I wouldn`t recommend pulling your stitches taut, simply because this might detract from your pleasure in knitting the yarn.

Unfortunately some of the colors in sneak peek..... There are 3 colors that weren`t included in the newsletter, because their quantities are very low. For the newsletter, we include only colors that will likely be available for more than the first hour of the offering - we do this to avoid disappointing people!

Unfortunately some of the colors in sneak peek..... The sage is from Italy and the french blue from Peru. When the yarn is orderable, you`ll see the country of origins for all the colors in the drop-down menu, as part of the dyelot number.
