Love the Cabled Capelet, Bri! Very cute! We now have two FO`s from the infamous yarn crawl.

Patricia and Emily3Cats, are you all snowed in? Not a flake here! Just very cold.

Doggie Gift Advice needed... Bets:

On your recipe "1 egg" appears twice.

Does this mean that the doggie-gifter needs to have two eggs at hand, or was this a typo?

Doggie Gift Advice needed... Probably the doggies would appreciate every last ounce of protein (egg-derived or not). Just would take longer baking the he** out of it with the additional egg protein in the mix.

Tatting I got my first tatting lesson today.

Yes, tatting. I know, I`m a fiber geek stuck in yesterday-land. For those who don`t know....tatting is a lace technique.

But it was FUN!

Can`t wait for the next lesson in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, I`ll be practising with my big-a** thread.

Does anyone out there also tat?

Tatting Benne:

I haven`t seen Suzann around here in awhile. Do you have an email for her. If so, email me.

I do think that I could fall in love with YET ANOTHER fiber craft!

KFI Flap I`m not trying to start up trouble, but have any of you read about the whole KFI flap? If not, then just put KFI and "no cashmere" (use the quotes) in your search engine to read about it.

It has made me wonder whether this issue sheds any light upon the previous messages from LuvPeonies about unpredicatable yardage in a Debbie Bliss yarn. (Debbie Bliss is also distributed by KFI.)

Anyhoo, as I said, I`m not gonna stir up trouble, but it sure has knitters on other sites asking questions.

KFI Flap Speaking of CSI...

The most interesting docusments on the whole thing are from independent testers who were sent samples:

Neighbors and their pets!! Oh, I do hope the other one finds its way home. They must be terrified to be chased by dogs and such.

Go Emily! Guess I didn`t reveal that I actually finished. It`s Dale of Norway Sisik, now discontinued. But it`s a very nice yarn--there are still some places out there which have it.

Yes, the giftie is for a friend who loves her orange. I tried to mail it off today and was going to buy packaging at the PO, as I didn`t have any. So, I wore it into the post office, and got a compliment on the scarf from the first person I saw!

Go Emily! No, Jayne, you don`t get to see me. I have the kind of job where I can`t have too much of an online presence.

But I`m happy to show you more knitted items!

:)

Calliope-tell us more! Great job! Is it for yourself or for some lucky someone else?

yarn for baby I have no kid experience, but I do think that there are some good superwash ones out there. The one I like best is the Baby Ull from Dale of Norway.

Go Emily! I went through this too when the KAL was just getting started. Having missed the first posts, I was totally confused but kind benne set me straight.

The scarf is now on its merry way to London. She will be surprised.

I have to laugh about how far that tiny amount of yarn traveled. Didn`t it get dyed in Wales? But the wool probably didn`t come from Wales...probably Australia. Knitted in the US and sent back to the UK.
