The Stupid Thread This is the space to share your best/worst stupid mistake, knitting-wise. (First husband stories don`t count.)

Here`s mine.

On that lovely light blue Jo Sharp pullover I posted some weeks ago, I misread the Aussie pattern. I misread the centimeters for inches. So....I knitted along blissfully, only to discover the armholes were NOT going to fit the centimeter-measured arms. Argh. And the part I messed up on was that trinity stitch, which is not recommended for people with carpal tunnel. Took me about a year of letting that mistake marinate until I was ready to rip out the mistake and do it again.

Peeks Sooo funny. It bugged the heck out of me last time this yarn was around. I looked at the peeks first today (sorry, first peeks, then chat), and saw that and immediately sent a message to customer service.

Then I go to the chat center and find a fellow German-speaker! One who probably also sent a message to customer service.

Emily I`m fine, just fine, except for having been in boring meetings all morning.

bri, would you send me your phone number via regular email so that we might be able to touch base this weekend. Mine is on the Elann list, but last time I looked yours wasn`t.

OT-Dysfunctional families with an aging parent- WOW! Look at all that good advice. No wonder she`s in school to become even more a "pro" at this stuff.

It`s not the best birthday on record due to problems in the workplace, but I very much appreciate the good wishes from people who actually mean their nice words.

They say it`s your Birthday, Emily3cat! I did a little garden yesterday, so today I`m in the office grading. Sad but true stories from the front line. Haven`t seen knitting in some time, but hopefully as soon as the semester is up. Counting the days.
