Armhole shaping If you have to pick up stitches later for ribbing or some other edge, it will be easier if you move your decreases in 1 stitch.
In other words, knit 1, ssk, knit to last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1.

Notre Dame colors in todays yarn? Isn`t it hard? I was leaning towards Royal Navy and Inca Gold. I`m going to do the DNA cable pattern scarf in the blue and somehow trim the scarf ends in gold. It is a gift for a man. Will the cables show in French Navy?

Fall Interweave Knits arrived today I got mine too! I`ve got to find a light substitute yarn for the Zimmerman sweater to make it Texas friendly. I love the cables and the V neck. The Tangled yoke is great as well, though I wonder what it will look like on a larger body.

Zara Its soft and springy so it may feel like wordted, but it knits like DK. It`s one of my all time favorite yarns.

todays yarn yippee, the Canapone is back.
I couldn`t help but notice that the color 806 - Green Tea looks a lot more like the Kiwi color from last time. I`m going to get a sweaters worth, once I decide on a color.

It`s HOT! - OT Beene, sorry for the heat wave, they aren`t fun. After record setting rains and very cool July, the usual summer heat has set in with a vengance here.
Does your area have a fan drive, or cooling stations for the elderly? Heat is a killer if people are careful.

todays yarn I`ve been wanting a lace and cable openwork sweater from Vouge summer 2004. It would require 10 to 12 of the Canapone, I haven`t worked out the exact yardage. I`d also like a non-lace sweater, probably worked double stranded.
I really like linen, even if it is harder to knit than wool.

MS3 - How are you coming along? I finally finished Clue 1 and started on 2. I`m liking the pattern. charts are clear and easy to follow. Even easier when I followed Barbara`s tip and got out the cookie sheet.
Although the beads are a bit of a hassle, I think they really add to the design. I`m using a cream color laceweight cotton/linen blend on 2.5mm needles with matt finish blue/purple beads. It will be more scarf than stole.

got my 501 - Benne was right About the colors for Notre Dame fan. Antique gold is the right shade, and I paired it with Indigo so the cables wouldn`t get too lost. I tried Inca gold, just in case, but it was too yellow.

So what color should I pair with Ginger and the Dark Brown in todays offering?
