Knitters Summer styles are posted
|
you can see them here http://knittinguniverse.com/flash/knitters/GalleryList.php?IssueNum=87 IMHO it is proof the last issue was a anomaly and the magazine really isn`t back on course. There is one purse that may be interesting, the rest is, well, go see for yourself.

Sounds like the organizer should have been grateful you stayed. What a story!

Cala & other lace goddesses....
|
I like the idea of provisional cast on and knit to either end. I`ve been avoid the luscious `print of the wave` (may not have the title quite right) from Eunny becuase I like the symetrical ends, but didn`t like the Kitchener rib in the middle. Your idea to insert a plain pannel is just the trick :)

Summer Knitty is up!

Good stuff overall. Some of the magazine can only wish to have such great variety.

Without actually trying it, I think it would work if you added a bit of transition before heading the other way. A couple rows of faggoting, or garter, or something. The transition would ease any biasing as the pattern went the other way.

General health and morale check-
|
Life is good. It`s my slowest month of the year at work so there is time to knit a bit in the evenings. Luna needs 1 more repeat and I`m designing a tank for Miss M.

Knots in yarn
|
Welcome. I`m sure there are as many opinions as there are knitters on the subject of knots. In general, I`d tolerate 1 knot in 230 yards from a less than premium yarn, but I`d never stand for it in a premium yarn. When knitting cotton, I knit right past the knot, making sure it shows up on the wrong side. I add a drop of FrayCheck to the knot to help make sure it doesn`t come undone. For wool, I undo the knot and do a spit splice.
