For those of you with underutilized sewing machines
|
When I read your title I was hoping you were volunteering to come to my house and use my machine to make the curtains I`d bought fabric for 6 months ago :)
I have friends that quilt, I`ll pass on the news about the book.

Still on yarn diet, but just bought three knitting books

Sound like good books, I may have to go looking for them.

yarn buying fast
|
Me too! Everytime I feel like buying yarn that I `can`t live without` I go through a drawer in the stash and enjoy all that I have.

What to do if your stash grows out of control
|
Keep changing the definition of `out of control` - then it never is.

We could all design for Vogue Knitting
|
I think the quest for fast and easy and the decline in the ability to think (in direct ratio to the number of standarized tests, but I guess that is another topic), has really taken a toll on the what constitutes a `pattern`.
We are all way too clever to design for VK :)
I sound like one of those `ol timers.....Back in my day we made up our own 36 stitch, 24 row lace pattern for an octagon shawl while walking barefoot in the snow to school, uphill both directions.

Too young to knit?
|
I don`t think 5 is too young. Like Bets, I`d avoid the larger diameter needles.

Searching for a cute top pattern

Something with a light texture to add to the color without overwhelming it. I`ll take a glance and get back with you.

Wildly OT-do you wash your hair?
|
I too often go several days between hair washes. Bets has never complained. Maybe she`s just too polite :)

What`s on the needles?
|
ME! I started acupunture this week. Working miracles I`m happy to say.
But I`m sure you mean knitting needles. Euroflax face cloth that I`m not happy knitting as it is too hard on the hands, socks for Miss M and casting on for Dad`s Vest II.
