Marie, what a nice collection!
Marie, I love them all, especially the St. Albans (probably because it is purple?), but the pattern itself it very becoming. I`ll have to pick up some more Baby Cashmere.

on the street, how the New Yorker deal with cold
I love almost everything there! Of course, I could not wear the huge down collars, but I think they are cool. I always admired those silhouette collars.

So what`s on the needles this week?
My Winnifred cardigan is finished and blocking right now. I had planned to wear it for St. Valentine`s Day (it`s red), but I had a big snafu with yarn. I`m also working on the Drop Collar Jacket by Debbie Bliss.

Happy Heart Day to you all.
It`s a nice and snowy Valentine`s Day over here. I have New York strips planned for dinner, a nice bottle of Merlot, a secret stash of chocolate, and quiet knitting to enjoy tonight.

Hey Bets! Saw The Noro Cape Sample IN PERSON!
I saw that cape in person, too, but I wasn`t able to touch it, as it was hanging up too high in the yarn shop.
YES, I want more pictures! Only the monkey needs underpants, though. Anyone else is fair game.

Terrible cape troubles-
I have an idea, but it`s probably too much work. Slip stitch crochet all across the bottom of the lapel. When you get to the end of the row, go back, right next to the row you just completed. So all underneath, there will be row next to row of slip stitches. This will make the collar stable, but also a little heavier.
The good thing is, that it is easy to take out if you don`t like it.
