Mine`s Done, Where`s Yours? Very pretty,Barbara! I love twisted stitches - both how they look and working them.

Emoticons are driving me crazy! Thanks, Alice, I`ll do that. I run my virus scan regularly and finally, after selecting plain text, I was able to hopefully disable those little blinking %&$#@%s.

Weird thing to make into a virus. People really have too much time on their hands.

Give for Haiti I made my donation through Catholic Relief Services, which like Doctors Without Borders, is also very highly rated as spending over 90% of donations on services and needs. The Red Cross is also very highly rated. Doctors Without Borders, Red Cross and Catholic Relief Service all have an existing relief structure and network in place in Haiti, which will really benefit immediate help. There is a list on msnbc.com which names all of the relief services already in place, some secular and some faith-based. I think this will be an effort with changing and long-term needs since Haiti was so impoverished to begin with. So sad.

Bri, that shawl collared sweater looks fabulous! Bri, that`s beautiful! I finally found it in the sneak peeks. I am really sorry I will miss the yarn, I`ll be in Nashville at doctor appointments all day. Maybe some will be left when I get home-glazed apple, cherry red, daydream, holly green or sherwood, I would be happy with any of those, so I might get lucky. If I don`t, well, I do happen to have some yarn already or I could cruise through the superwash soft colors again. :) I hope you`re keeping your sweater, Bri.It suits you so well and is so pretty.

Bri, that shawl collared sweater looks fabulous! Ah, Bri, you know I`ve got yarn! Daryl and I are well-endowed with yarn. At least I`m well-endowed with something! HA! You need to make yourself one of these sweaters, it really does look like your style. It has that Audrey Hepburn classic look that would be very versatile. I cannot get over how much, once again, I like the elann version better than the original in the magazine. :)

Give for Haiti Laura, your nephew and niece must be so relieved that their soon-to-be son is safe and the other children and orphanage are okay. There is a family in Nashville that is adopting a little girl in Haiti and they had been unable to determine her status as of yesterday. All of Haiti is in my prayers and thoughts, it is overwhelming to think what people are going through there.

The Lesson from the Finesse and Camella I missed the Spiced Apple, which was my first choice and the teal green, can`t think of the name right now, but I got enough Cherry Red to make the sweater. If it`s not the right red for me, it will be for someone I know. :)
I agree with you, Amy and Bri, they really flew out. Red is my favorite color but the true reds lately have been gorgeous.

Superwash Soft I received my order of Superwash Soft and,oh my! The color is so saturated and gorgeous and glowing- ember, deep sea and platinum are gorgeous. The platinum is really platinum/silver; hard to find that difference from grey, but this is silvery beauty. I really wish this could be a house yarn, I love it so much. Oh, and it is really soft too.

These limited edition yarns are killing me. I`ve let a lot of them get away in an effort to keep my yarn stash in one Wal-Mart sized warehouse but I`m glad I caved on this. :)

Knitting takes many forms Knitting takes so many forms and surely has something for everyone. Prime example is today`s offerings:
Paton`s Sock Monkey Patterns and Haapsalu Shawl: A Knitted Lace Tradition from Estonia. I love them both and everything in between too. This made me smile this morning. :)

And Thursday is an (ahem) milestone day for Daryl. Happy Birthday, Daryl! It`s all about liking where and who you are, not numbers but as numbers go, this is a good one. :) It sounds like you`ve got your celebration well in hand, hope it`s a fabulous day for you!

problem with numb hands Pat, good advice in this thread and I can echo about the sleeping positions, hand positions and splints at night. Please let your hands rest for a bit and take care. You are a fabulous knitter and we want you to be able to knit on.
