Elann C/S: Monday`s Offering Quick question for you guys. I bought SW Trading Co. Beyond Bold at a LYS this spring. As soon as I saw this offering, I wondered if Monday`s yarn is the same thing? The texture and colors are identical. The only real difference I see is that my label suggests knitting on US 10s. Regardless of whether Beyond is the same as Beyond Bold, it`s gorgeous yarn, and I wanted to be sure about what I was ordering before tomorrow.
Thanks,
Bri

Amy, DS is not wearing his foil hat!! :) Amy,
That came out so well. What a good idea to take with you for everyone to do. Was there a fight over the rug or is it a time-share kind of arrangement? Hope your time at the beach wasn`t too soggy!

Elann C/S: Monday`s Offering Barbara,
I just spent a few minutes over at yarndex and found what you did. What a tease. I`ll still have to have some and think that double-stranded could give me roughly the same gauge because the colors are identical.

I`m not familiar with the pattern you mention but it sounds like a perfect fit- no pun intended! What colors are you thinking?

Ok, SWT huddle is HERE Here`s what I can bring to the huddle. Color: I have the Rose and the Sage. I like them both. Swatch: I can knit up a swatch and post it for all interested parties. Would that help, even if the gauge is off, to show the texture and such?

Ok, SWT huddle is HERE Team SWT and all other interested parties,
I posted a swatch pic here and a larger one over at my blog (URL below).

I didn`t read what may have been posted below about caring for Beyond, but I might knit with smaller needles if shrinking isn`t an issue. I knit on gauge without any fudging usually, and the Beyond was a bit looser than I would like. The swatch became more like linen as I got an inch or two in and stayed soft like cotton.

Overall, it is a good yarn and a good value. Ask me questions or whatever your little yarn heart needs to make the purchase.

Ok, SWT huddle is HERE Sandra,
The closest HW color according to me is celadon, that silvery green. The turquiose, which I saw but did not buy in TN, is right on HW precious turquoise, and the rose is between colors in the pink-red spectrum of the HW offerings.

Ok, SWT huddle is HERE Bets,
I think I understand what you mean about matte on matter. Before I give the green light, would you be a little more specific? I`m not gonna be blamed for any mis-purchases!

Ok, SWT huddle is HERE Libby,
Those color will be awesome, even though I can only vouch for the sage. I am curious what you have up your sleeve for them...

Ok, SWT huddle is HERE Bets,
It is what you described in your un-techincal terms. No gloss what so ever.

What colors are you buying?

Ok, SWT huddle is HERE Benne,
I am glad to hear that someone other than me is questioning the gauge. While swatching yesterday, I kept looking at the yarn label because knitting what I have on US10s is just too loose at their suggested gauge. I think I would have to wear something underneath whatever I made because it`s likely to be mesh in some places. I would maybe go down as low as US8s, though I was thinking US7 at one point.

You are smart to resist. I was much more into a big purchase when I thought it was exactly what I have some of. Now, it`ll be some but not the huge yarn binge it could`ve been. Ah, what could`ve been...;)

Bri, what a sweet dress! Thank you for the compliments on my very first design! I hope they can evolve from the tube tank dress to something for the older set.

Amazing projects, Gail! Gail,
Wide a ringe of skill your projects display. The VK sweater for DD is awesome. I`m going to actually get the magazine and have a look at it. And my B&B is envious of yours because it`s beautiful and it`s done.

What`s on the needles next? Have they cooled off from all that knitting?

Hi Grace! Thanks for posting your bio and lovely shawl! Grace,
Your shawl came together so well. I have yet to knit one that worked out, so I hope you see a completed and pretty one as a huge accomplishment.

Can`t wait to read your bio!
