Benne, TB has a McNair hangover Oh, Benne. McNair and the new Ravens have given the entire Tampa area an extreme McNair hangover. We had friends at the game yesterday who said he was just on fire. I thought of your McNair-less Titans and figured Titans` country might also be hungover.

Ms. Bri Dear Patricia,
I am so sorry to say that I haven`t gotten any emails from you and I am not sure why. I`ve listed my email below, so we can hopefully connect soon.

Cuzco sneak peeks are up! Suzie,
You`re already in. I didn`t know PLB off the top of my head either, and I`m close to my 2nd elanniversary.

Cuzco is a welcome sight. It means it`ll be cold somewhere!

Life disconnect --- sunscreen and Kureyon Since Amy started the sunscreen discussion, I also wanted to remind everyone that while too much sun probably isn`t the best for you, neither is completely sheilding (whether it`s lotion, hats, or clothes) from the sun. Sunlight (about 20-30 mins per day) helps certain vitamins (Vit. E off the top of my head) protect the body, and lack of sunlight can contribute to bone loss because of the vitamin stuff. So, watch the ingredients in your lotions and cosmetics but also get out and enjoy the sunshine for a few minutes! ;)

My Kuryeon got less scratchy with wear and periodic dunks in woolite with a little fabric softener. But not enough that I`d think about joining the club!

IF you were going to felt something- Bets,
I thought about this somewhat seriously the whole ride from the office to home. For me, I`d double up the HW if I wanted something chunkier. I really love the ease of the felting and the array of color possibilities.

Is this a top secret project? If not, do tell what you`re thinking about felting.

If anyone wants to see a swatch of Mister Joe... I am now sold on Mister Joe. I might get enough for a sweater in grasslands. I`m excited. Not much yarn of late has me itching to purchase. Thanks for posting a swatch.

Jayne: The Itch Factor Jayne,
I appreciate your assessment. Being that I am living in a perpetual oven of a state, layering is usually foolish!! That`s why I needed to ask about the itch. I`m going to sleep on my purchase and see how I feel about it tomorrow morning.

Thanks,
Bri

OK, this is ridiculous, but - Help, Please! Barbara,

I`ve been figuring out the Exact Same Things!

The earflap hat pattern that I made in August is from "Last Minuted Knitted Gifts" or something like that. I would be happy to tell you how to add flaps to any hat pattern, though, if you don`t have the book handy. It`s easy.

Also, I have created and perfected what I believe to be is a perfect mitten pattern. I`ve not updated it with my latest edits, but I would be happy to email it once the edits are made. It calls for any kind of yarn, although chunky yarns take about 90mins per adult mitten.

I`ve also taken to a particular yarn for these things: Lambs Pride Superwash Bulky. I can get 1 adult ear flap hat and 2 pairs of adult mittens from 3 balls. I might also suggest Sirdar NOVA. I have some dusty pink NOVA I would be happy to send your way (leftover from the fly fishing sweater).

And no more of this stupid talk! It would be bad if it were December 15th and you`re only then starting to think about this. Even then, given how fast these things come together, with some postal help, they`d be there in time!

Ladies, what`s on the needles?? Well, it`s all my Back to Nature sweater this wknd. We went out for a drinksy last night. I came home happy from my drinksy and made an error (counting) while on the phone. Two rows need frogged because I fortunately stopped the madness. I`ll be re-knitting and finishing the front this weekend. I`d love to get a sleeve on the needles. We fly North for our trip 2 wks from today. I am not above seaming on the plane if that`s what it takes to wear it!!

Your cables look great. It`s fantastic to see you posting and to see pics. Did you mention which yarn you are using or did I miss it?

Looking good, hot stuff!

Thinking of my elann friends... ...on this special Saturday. It`s about a year since everyone got together and threw me the best cyber bridal shower. It was such a fun and perfect day. I remember how surprised I was that everyone seemed to have this shower to go to, and it was mine!!

I am often reminded how talented, funny, generous, and thoughtful you all are and how it was exemplified by my shower.

Lots of love! Bri

Bri --- what a good Saturday for you. I picked them both to win, but it was much more of a gamble with the Gators. Your Dawgs looked tough, 2 shut outs games and all. It`s going to be awesome when FL-GA meets in the coming weeks!
