anyone used Peruvian Baby Cashmere Dear Kay,
Sorry your search didn`t get you the results you wanted. I can speak specifically about baby cash or silk in the context of aging skin, given that my doctorate will be in gerontology when I finish. I`ve had used both for projects that have gone to long term care and nursing facilities, with rave reviews. Certainly the skin ages as individually as we all do and how one yarn feels to you is different than me. In my somewhat informed yet humble opinion, knowing what I know about older adults, skin, and the yarn, either would work well.

I don`t know if that inspires confidence or gives you the info you need. I can post a pic of the baby cash scarf. I`ve not been able to give it away yet.

anyone used Peruvian Baby Cashmere Dear Kay,
I went over to www.yarndex.com and searched under fingerling and cashmere. It came up with 8 yarns or so that might be in your color pallet and within the budget. Given that I am a full-time student, I alawys have an eye on cost and usually cashmere is cost-prohibitive. What a treat it will be to buy some when I finish!

elann cust. service re: Edition Rebecca No. 04 Dear Diane,
Thanks for the clear explanation. You know, I read that whole post from 8/14, and it never occured to me how that discussion was applicable to this. That`s why we need you!
Thanks again,

TSA new restrictions concerning knitting We`re flying to Alabama tomorrow, and I wanted to double check carry on items. (Let`s just say in Chicago and Lexington, KY airports I know what goes on behind the plexiglass when they search you.) I scrolled through the list, and what did I find under the category of make up/ personal items? Knitting and crochet needles are allowed in both carry on and checked bags. One crisis averted for tomorrow, still trying to find out about carrying on prescription pills and if that`s going to be what sinks me tomorrow!

Here`s the URL in case you are traveling:

TSA new restrictions concerning knitting Benne,
Thanks for the update. They are being just vague enough to cover everything or not all at the same time. It`s hard to get answers.

I am still plotting about the knitting that will travel with, but you`ll be happy to know in pre-trip clean-up this morning, I restocked the hurricane knitting kit. We`ve been very lucky thus far. Maybe the kit is our good luck charm! ;)

for a smile on a Friday... Saw a post at my friend, Whitney`s, blog this morning. She took her stash to knit while on trip and folks are still talking about it. Her hats for her Gram made mostly of elann goodies are also doing double, even triple, duty.

Have a look if you want to smile a couple times.

TSA new restrictions concerning knitting Thanks, SK. We will have a good trip. I`ll report back for all knitter-kind if there are needle issues or anything else of travel interest.

First day of school today Charles started back to school for meetings the last week of July and has been teaching since August 2 or 3. I always like the routine after I mourn the end of our time together and get back into the rythmn of things.

With back to school is back to football, I can deal.

Go Donna, go Donna! Donna,
I am joining the chorus of it looks great on you and especially without all the embroidery. I wondered what it would look like sans tacky taffy-colored flowers and whatnot. I am glad you undertook the challenge.

Who uses a swift and ball winder? Benne,
Until we move into a grown up house, it`s all hanks on this end. We`re trying to operate on the less is more principle, even if it means tangled yarn every now and again.

What`s got your attention today?? Amy,
I think I am going to get a hold of the book in question and see if it teaches me anything I can`t learn tailgating. There`s another book "Goat" that is about Clemson fraternities in the 1980s and 1990s. It ain`t pretty. While Clemson is a definitely home to a lot of conservatives, it is definitely not home to the most dilligent students, who probably only feel so required to read said book.

Think about using blue jeans or better yet, yarn, to insolate your house in your new green life. I am ready to buy up all the demin yarn I can and start knitting my insolation when the time comes while I ride public transportation.

the hemp is here, and I just don`t know My canapone arrived today, and it`s not at all what I expected, much finer and not as rustic as I`d imagined. I am not sure it will work for my holiday stuff but going to give it a shot. I really like the colors. Maybe I`ll have a different opinion when I double strand it.

Totally OT: Looking for travel insight Believe it or not, DH and I are a month from our first wedding anniversary. We had a long and agonizing decision about whether to travel local or at a distance and all that good stuff. I finally bought our tickets yesterday, and we`re off to New Hampshire and southern Maine for a long weekend. My question is this, where should I try to stay? I was thinking about a bed and breakfast, but DH is kinda weirded out by that. What do you think? Or better yet, is another familiar with the area and have suggestions? Any or all are welcome. I`m trying to book it before I either spend the money on yarn or go blind reading posts at TripAdvisor.com.
