Posts 2 		I have heard somewhere that Silk does not like water, and we are supposed to get it out of the water as soon as possible, but Linen will get softened with each wash. Not too sure about Bamboo, but it is supposed to be a sturdy material similar to Linen? So here are my question: How long do you soak it when you blocking lace when either of these yarn is used? Will the silk lose its shimmer after blocking/washing (even by hand)?

Posts 3462 		HI! Silk does not lose its brilliance after hand washing. I wash bamboo and silk much the same as other fibers. They do no need to soak a long time before blocking. I hand been spinning with silk and bamboo/wool fibers. Love both bamboo and silk!
