Hi all,
Have commenced knitting a lovely jacket for my husband in the Highland Donegal which does not have a basque. It has started to curl at the the bottom. Any ideas on how to keep it flat as I knit or when it is finished? Many thanks.

I`m not sure what you mean by `basque`. But if you`re knitting in stockinette, the curling is inevitable, both from the bottom and from the sides (applies to scarves, etc.). When you wet block the sweater, that will take care of the curling. This is the reason that many scarf patterns have a border of garter stitch or seed stitch.

The project sounds lovely; Donegal is a nice yarn.

I wouldn`t worry about it curling as you knit it. When you sew the seams together and block it, that should take care of it.
