Hi, Im currently expecting a baby girl and decided to make a few outfits for her. I bought some pattern books (Dale of Norway) and they all ask for Baby Dale Ull yarn, which is a 100% Pure Merino Superwash Fingering Weight Wool. The needle sizes it asks for is 2mm to 2.5 mm. What yarn is similar on here? Thank you.

I would suggest looking at the fingering weight yarn. All of the sock yarns (including the Regia under baby weight) will give you a very dependable, machine wash/dry yarn. The Elann undyed merino sock yarn is good to knit with as it comes and great fun to dye. In natural dyes: stinging nettles will give you a light green, cochineal pinks through burgundy and crimson, tumeric a hearty yellow (don`t use too much or you`ll have a strident yellow). The little pots of dye Elann sells are excellent - good clear colours and mixable. The Baby Ull knits at 32st = 4" which is a very small gauge, and painstaking, 28 - 30 st will give you some drape and not drive you crazy! Alice Salt Spring Island

The Cantata comes in fabulous colors, is fingering weight and machine washable. It is extremely soft.
