Vogue just leaves me cold. I fingered through it at B&N and put it back. Ravelry, Twist, Knitty and Elann have ruined me for meh designs in expensive magazines.

The British magazines and Verena are starting to whip Vogue`s butt.

I see potential in the All Wrapped Up projects. The rest, well, is not my thing.

Hmmm, and I see a few things I would knit! a couple of vests, the blazer and the mans cardi. LOL

I rarely will buy Vague Knitting!
I don`t like the odds of there being errata and hate to have to wait 2 months for the errata to show up!
Unless there is absolutely something I must make in it, I just say No thank you!

I love Vogue Knitting. I find their patterns to be stylish and current without being outlandish. I also love the articles, the ads, the featured "stuff" just about everything, except I wish that there was a little picture of the FO with the pattern instead of just the yarn picture so I didn`t have to constantly flip back. Looking forward to the new issue.

My subscription is coming up for renewal and I`m thinking of letting it go. I`ll just get it from the newstand if there is a "must-knit" in an issue. Funny, the V360 video clip of the designs on their website is a great feature for the knitter, but usually makes me *not* want to knit something if I was on the fence about it before!

I only buy Vogue if y`all get me jazzed about a particular pattern. And then most of the time it just sits in my giant Ravelry Queue. It`s not as if I don`t find enough great patterns (and mostly free!) at Ravelry as it is.

Sculpted Glamour would be great if I knew any one I could pay to wear it for me.
And the first Grey sweater thing was nice, and the mittens in blue...
and the cowl in the Blue Sky Alpaca ad...
I tend to buy Vogue, Knits, every single time because I know if I want ONE pattern later it will cost me pretty much the same as a whole mag now - and I often want that one pattern later...
Besides, there are Elann ads...

And invaribly when Elann shows some beautiful sweater in a house yarn it is a Vogue pattern.

Ah, Theresa & Amy, I agree, there is that Elann sample knit factor...how would I know if something is a must-knit until I`ve seen it later as an Elann feature :-}? Plus could easily pay double (& time involved) for getting a scarce back issue. Vogue and IWK seem to be the back issues most in demand based on my Ravelry observations.

Isn`t it amazing how the sweaters look so much better knit in the elann yarns and modeled by the elann models than they do in the magazine?

I usually do not recognize the original sweater when knit up in Elann yarn and modeled here. I say to myself "Wow - GREAT sweater" and go to look for the pattern - and then when I find it sometimes is one I blew right past.
I will admit to having recognized the recent blue one, though. I`ve been wanting that since I first saw it. Of course, knitting myself a different figure to put it on wouldn`t hurt...
