I am jumping up and down happy because I got that same color on a return and was kind of meh about it when I saw it in person. I can see how beautiful knitted up it is in your picture :-). Do you think a guy would wear this style scarf?...the pattern pic on Ravelry shows one, but I`m doubtful. I still have a scarf to knit for my nephew (this winter, not in time for Xmas!) since his sister got the ruffle one.

It`s gorgeous, Les! How do you part with all of these lovely knits? Looks nice and toasty for those subzero temps.

Sandra, I`m doubtful too. I`m 99.9% sure that DH would not wear one. I think it would be fine if the recipient was a European "metro" male. Ain`t got none of them round here :)

I got some of that color too, and picked up the last 3 skeins of the Fresh Earth browns today. I`m nearly done with holiday gift knitting, so I`m close to being able to play with the Picasso colors!

Les, your knitting FOs list is amazing!

Yes, same here, Kelly! Guess I`ll have to stick to rectangular scarf shape for the males, though Jesse James and other macho western guys wore kerchiefs. Just need some guys to start the trend, all so I can vary my knitting ;-}.

My 21 yo son came home today so I asked him if he would wear a scarf that shape. This is the country boy who is now a city boy. He put it on and said ya, he might, (with a little reticence)but just not with his country buddies! he liked the feel of it.
I agree with Kelly`s comments - totally depends on the personality. I`d say yes, if he is a guy who likes clothes and also wears things that are more out there than wearing things that blend in.
For a guy or girl, I think this yarn would make a nice "Noro Striped Scarf" - the Jered Flood one that was so popular last year.
I do love this yarn.

It looks beautiful on you Les. Sure you don`t want to keep it? I have that color and was not impressed with it in the ball. But it looks so lovely knit up.

Thank you all!
The colour is called Blue Smoke. In the pic, it is more blue than in person. I was making it for a friend, thinking it was pretty grey but there is more blue in it than she can handle I think!! She just doesn`t like blue. Alas, I may have to keep it. So I wore it yesterday. It feels pretty nice around the neck. Didn`t experience "the itch".

That`s so pretty, Les! I wish I had bought a lot of that colorway...
I am just finishing a Noro two-row striped scarf with gray and alpine heather, and loving it. You are right on about that suggestion!
I am also quite happy with my Kap, just waiting to be sewed.
This is a fantastic yarn.
