I started a Rowan pattern in the True Blue Lurex-not sure if I will let it stay!

Working on Buffalo lux Fleur-de-lis scarf for my mother`s birthday. It is a little bit short but beautiful. Thank you Bets for letting me know about the naming contest, so I got this yarn free. I will never be willing to buy it for that price.

What color did you get, Shui Kuen? I got the blue, and I have such trouble finding patterns "good enough" for it.

I bought one skein. Once.

Your mom will adore it, SK.

I got eggplant color. It will be good if they put up 50g skien. 40g is just not enough for a scarf and 80g will be too expensive.
My mother loves everything I knit. She will love it, I am sure.

Gearing up for our charity boutique. I just finished a dragon-scale scarf (http://tinyurl.com/ykpmwjp) from 2 skeins of Tonalita that we got; lovely color changes, a fast and fun pattern. And I`ve started a diagonal garter stitch scarf from of a crimped wool yarn from Tahki, US11 gauge, called Ambrosia II. So old it`s not even in Yarndex, and it`s pretty scratchy; I hope it`s softer after blocking/steaming. There`s enough for a couple of scarves.

Swatching (cough, cough) for Rosamund`s cardigan from the Fall Interweave. Ok, ok, I`m confessing, you know me too well. I just started it and am pretending I`m swatching. Only bad can come of this. My cables look weird too. At least I started something.

I forget who it was who wrote that starting a cardi sleeve was a better swatch than the usual 4in square. Those nasty swatches can be such liars!

Since it is cold this week, and the heater in the car blows cold air, I have just started Susie`s Reading Mitts (fingerless mitts) Using some Louisa Harding Cashmere and am hoping I can get them knit with the two balls I have. It`s pretty short yardage. Also have the BB Cardi nearby and a pair of socks in some yarn we dyed at Alice`s retreat. That`s enough, I won`t mention the others, LOL

Which Rowan pattern and which True Blue Lurex did you get? I haven`t bought any yarn since July so am living vicariously!

I bound off my Baby Surprise Jacket last night, it really is a fun knit. Now I am boggled by all the different ways of finishing, Ravelry has over 3,000 jackets! Also have been consulting various baby pattern measurements to see what size I`ve knit and if I were to extend sleeves, how much should I go. Then this afternoon I hit on the idea to go dig up a beautiful cable sweater given my son when he was a baby and that fit him well and do a comparsion.

Next up is Fleur de Lis. Then further stash usage with one of the oldest yarns in my stash, Berroco Blue-faced Leicester, planning on the Taconic V-neck pullover.

I got one bag of the light, and two of the dark. I am trying to do Marseille from Rowan 45 in the light. The chart is a little finicky.

Nice design with that flattering V-texture and the alternating eyelet rows softening the effect. I think it will look great in the denim lurex!

STill working on entrelac scarf, plus finishing up some hats and mittens. My R knee is hurting big time!
That`s about all I think. See surgeon on Friday to consider knee replacement.
Really quite cold here so must find a hat in my stuff!

Mondo cable sweater (almost at 14" mark), an owls sweater that is a holiday prezzie, and I am THISclose to being finished with some mystery knitting. I have another bumper crop of 2009 babies to knit for so my needles are gonna stay hot.
