I`m coming down the homestretch on Soleil (had a small frog event because I misunderstood the construction method), ready to take my mystery project out of time-out, anxiously awaiting a box of Sonata, need to make two baby hats, need to do homework swatches, and don`t have a sparkling handknit wardrobe of handknits to wear to Philly. Where are the elves....who`s stashing them?
What`s on your needles?

Bets, I love Soleil and want to make them again and again! I succumbed to washrag fever and have made 3 so far. I am calling it the Fiesta Collection because I am doing them in the BRIGHTEST colors possible. Almost finished the Lavinia Berocco pattern in Linus, doing the IK summer 06 Bonita patern in Esprit (for my DD). Bonita is taking way too long. I think it`s the yarn...Lastly, started a linen guest towel from the Mason Dixon book, with the real Euroflax Original linen yarn purchased yesterday at my LYS. Nice stuff!

Despite the fact that I have this rug on the go (it can rest for a day or so)
Despite the fact that my handpainted yarn came in the mail today...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I am plugging away on the second sleeve of the Adhoc hoodie. Getting sick of cotton. Need to get my hands on that yummy wool.
You`re taking Sheena to Philly, aren`t you Bets? I didn`t get the part where you said you were feeling guilty about the sock yarn. Why guilty? Naturally, you`re planning to knit socks for all of San Antonio, aren`t you? AREN`T YOU??

Only the button band left for my pink Micro Cable cardigan for DD#2, Still working on my sisik Mermaid shawl, and a green shawl for my LYS KAL. Everyone else finished I think and I`ve only knit on it during the two meetings. I am GOING to finish the Sisik before doing any other lace. Some lovely soft Navy for my Kiri, cast on but... blue socks from birthday yarn trying out Wendy`s toe up pattern with Alices two circs,(like it), and of course, my treasured but neglected B&B, and I HAD to cast on some Sonata for my own Soleil. I won`t let myself get any more Sonata until I make at least ONE thing in it. You people better leave some Esprit for me this year. I won`t let myself get any more of that either until I make something from what I have to prove I can knit with it.

Well...I`m working on the B&B sleeve #2 and will be ready to seam that puppy soon. I`ve also got a button band for the ribby in progress and something else to seam. Oh, there`s the Cork sweater too, half way done with that. I`m almost between projects and will likely stay this way between things for a while with all the travel coming up. Hopefully, there`ll be a lot of FOs for all of us in the next couple of weeks. Bri

Got the body seamed up and the collar finished on Debbie Bliss Aran pullover. When I first tried it on, didn`t look so good (case of style not flattering to body). Younger DS corroborated my fear that it looked like a bag on me. I got older DS to try it on, and my knitting was vindicated, it looks great on HIM ;-P. The narrow front cable panel does not bulge at a spot to be minimized; lays perfectly flat and beautiful on his adolescent teen abs! So plan B is this will be his sweater, but I`m going to make extra deep ribbed cuffs in case he doesn`t wear it, I can still wear it with sleeves folded back. Next I`m going to attempt top-down, set-in sleeves for this sweater following instructions in BW`s "Knitting from the Top" and Maggie Righetti`s "Sweater Design in Plain English". New territory for me, should be interesting!

Sandra, I know you can do it. Your ability to adjust and tinker with patterns amazes me and I have great respect for you. Didn`t your bio say you were an engineer in a past life?

ME! I started acupunture this week. Working miracles I`m happy to say.
But I`m sure you mean knitting needles. Euroflax face cloth that I`m not happy knitting as it is too hard on the hands, socks for Miss M and casting on for Dad`s Vest II.

I`m making wild progress (by my pokey standards) on the Sonata cardi...this getting-paid-while-I-knit is right up my alley!

Hey- Sandra, I think it`s absolutely terrific that you HAVE a good home for your sweater. Talk about luck!
Billie, I looked at the pattern for that cardi...no, I didn`t just look, I saved it. THAT looks useful.
Chris, we gotta talk about socks!

I am loving the Sonata the more and more I knit with it. It has such a pretty sheen.

Too many things to be contimplating a trip to Walmart today to get more Peaches and Creme to start the Tailgate rug from M-D with my R2 Rag. (I got the bluey colorway -- it is really pretty.)

Donna, I was a computer programmer in my past life :-), so yss I`m used to "tinkering" with things until they work! I`m working on the second sleeve cap now, learned a few things NOT to do with the first which is laying abandoned for now; hopefully if it turns out well I`ll post my findings! Sandra

LionBrand Racerback Tank for MOI! Only, I am about 4 rows in and contemplating frogging...I currentl measure 39" around the bust. The sweater measures 37, so I fudged to make it bigger, but I am thinking that maybe that is not what I want to do - that maybe this is one of those patterns where negative ease works best...Any opinions?
T, who is now thinner than she ever has been in her resurrected knitting life...

My VK Portofino cowl is languishing, and I`ve been working on a Red Scarf with yarn that Daryl sent me. I swear, I have a serious case of "beginning Knitter" with this scarf. I am regularly "missing stitches", off setting the 2X2 rib-geez, the only thing that takes me out of beginner status on this is that I recognize the mistakes and fix them! Amazing.....

what`s on your mind bets? Why are you missing stitches? Hopefully everything is okay. I`ll see soon enough though.
On my needles.... I have lots of stuff. The baby kimono from mason-dixon in the berroco lullaby. Umm the kemo cap with the missed deadline. We had DSD`s party yesterday so I did quite a bit on it. I`m off the hook on writting out a pattern for it. LOL. So I`m going to finish and then donate it to someone that really needs it.
Umm what else. That darn kiri. And a swatch for our future LYS. I`m almost done with them.
Well I`m off have some reading to do and some crap to answer for school. :/ TTFN happy knitting.

I finished a behind-the-car-seat bag for a friend who does a ton of driving...I`ll felt it right now while I`m downstairs cleaning & organizing my music studio. That way I can keep an eye on the progress...`do not want it tooo much smaller! I`ll load it with maps, tire gauge, kleenex, etc.
The sonata top-down cardi is awaiting blocking and buttons. And the kiri could use another 2 repeats of it`s pattern and then the edging (I love the kiri but I seem to have to keep taking breaks from it?!)

Billions of things it seems. I went through my yarn today culling out stuff to send to Alice and locating all my "orphaned" projects. Posted a bunch on blog. I love being able to post better pictures on the blog. And when you click on them, they get really big! yay!! Part two of that coming tomorrow, where I`ll post what`s currently got my attention. A shocking pink cabled turtleneck.
